I don't know where people are getting the idea that Batista is a "part time wrestler". He signed a two year contract and he is doing the house shows as well. He's full time on the roster so get comfortable with him because he isn't going anywhere.

How is Batista a Part Time player when he had more Matches then Taker, Rocky, HHH & Lesnar since there Return/Active In Ring Carrer ?
And i still dont understand why people hate him O.o IT WAS OBVIOUSLY AS HELL THAT HE WOULD WIN THE RUMBLE !

I'm not sure it's really a new thing to be honest. If you look back in time it's been happening for as long as I can remember, it's just that wrestling is so much more exposed and there's so many more shows. I could be wrong, but back in the days of the "Big Four" PPV's, how regular a schedule did some of the Main Eventers actually work? I think a number of them would easily be considered part timers by today's standards. And what about guys like Piper and Hogan in the New Generation years (dropping in and out while Hart and Michaels stole the show every other night), Jannetty showing up repeatedly in the early 90's from the crowd and getting a title shot, the many returns and departures of the Ultimate Warrior...I think a case could be made that while it wasn't exactly the same as the way some of the contracts are set up now, from a fans perspective was it really all that different? In some ways it keeps things fun and fresh, and while I do agree it can hurt some peoples careers, I still believe the cream rises to the top, and that hard work, dedication, perseverance and having that intangible "it" factor will always be rewarded. Yup. Wrestling has always had part-timers. Mr T was in the main event of the first one and one of the mains of the second. Piper hasn't worked a full-time wrestling schedule since before WrestleMania 3, yet he was on a bunch of Manias after that. Andre was part-time by 3 as well. Hogan went part time in '88. But RVD and Jericho taking spots from Kofi and Ziggler sucks for Kofi and Ziggler I guess.

Does anybody know when Orton got bigger than Batista?? Bigger how, taller? Orton's been taller than Batista since they debuted. Batista just has a smaller physique now than he used to.

Has never bothered me to be honest. As long as I enjoy their involvement in the show I'm not inclined to give a f*ck.

I wouldn't really call Batista part time, he's wrestling pretty much every week, unlike Lesnar, Taker, HHH, Rock

I agree, I think it's really unfair and must be discouraging to a large majority of the roster. I feel really bad for guys like Kofi, Ziggler, etc. who've been around a LONG time and always get overlooked for WrestleMania.

Me, kind of. I mean I like seeing Taker once a year, I kind of like HHH wrestling when it's the right storyline, Lesnar coming part time is good as well. I'm actually getting tired of guys like Kane, New Age Outlaws, Big Show. Big Show at this point should be used as part time, Kane should be gone for a couple years before I get excited to see him, same as the NAO. Like Kevin Castle said on Monday, "I can't wait to see the Shield destroy these old f***s at Mania!". Whenever I see these guys out on TV, I go to the bathroom or the fridge or do something else cause the NAO on TV now is getting tiring. I liked when they did spots every now and then but since they've won the Tag Team titles, I've been tired of them. Hopefully we see the last out of these guys after Mania.

I don't mind a part timer if they can still go and will actually put the new guys over.

Nope. The more Rock, Brock, Taker, Austin, etc the better in my opinion. They paid their dues and are responsible for some of the greatest memories of my life and of wrestling history. All due respect to the current guys who bust their asses and I enjoy watching, there is just a more special, important feeling when the part timers are around.

I wouldn't say that I'm tired of it. I like when they show up as special attractions because it is a big draw. The issue I have with it is when they come in and win or go for the WWE World Title. Yes guys like Kofi and Ziggler get overlooked at WrestleMania, but that's a separate problem. The WWE needs to make those mid card guys important and care about them so they can have meaningful matches at WrestleMania and not be thrown into a nonsense match.
Rock/Cena was cool, but for the belt at 29 wasn't. Just my opinion.

It depends on the wrestler in question. For example I didn't care either way for Brock coming back, Rock coming back was cool to me, New Age Outlaws coming back is awesome, really wish Batista never came back.

reports were that Batista signed like a 2 year deal or something...he isn't a part-timer. Triple H is on RAW every week Undertaker at this point in his career is basically unofficially retired. He has earned "big match" status no matter how lackluster the build is
Lesnar is the definition of part timer. His contract only requires him to work a certain number of TV/PPV dates per year. to which i say GTFO, and i could not care less if i saw another Lesnar match. however he is a pop culture name, he puts asses in the seats, and he gets WWE the pop culture recognition they soooo desperately crave. so in the end he's good for what he is.
anyway, I think more wrestlers should be part time. instead of seeing the same guys wrestle the same guys in the same matches every week. i wish we had a larger, more solid roster that could fluctuate more giving guys some time off to rest their bodies thus prolonging their careers. i mean not "lesnar time" (2 ppvs a year) but just like 5-6 weeks of different guys featured outside of champions....leading up to PPVs and then a switchover.
