With the continued rumors of WWE cutting back on pyro and the amount of trucks being used to be brought to each tapings, would anyone else like to see them change up the visual appearance of the product? What I mean by that is the stage setups, backstage interview sets, etc... The current WWE stage bores the hell out of me and is way too flashy imo. If they are planning on cutting back trucks I'd like to see them go back to a simple stage setup with only one tron. Such as the 99-02 Raw stage setup as seen below, or something even simpler. Its crazy to think theyve been using a variation of this stage now since Jan of 2008. Over 6 years, longer than any other stage with maybe the exception of the Smackdown fist. Thoughts?

I'm not a fan of this generic set up they've had for years. I hate that big gaudy WWE logo on the stage. Definitely time for a change. Hell I'd be cool with that old school raw set up

Hell I'd be cool with that old school raw set up I was cool with it when they debuted it cus it was something different but I was already tired of it before 2008's end. They need something new.

I was just about to make a thread about this. Yes, I think they need to change up the stage and the overall appearance of Raw.
With the new network logo replacing the current scratch logo in August, I think a new stage would be a great addition as well to change up the look of the show and make it look/feel like a new era.
P.S I'd totally mark out for the 99-02 Raw stage.

I would love to see them revert back to old stages. Imagine Xavier Woods leading out the New Nation through the '92 neon entranceway as he challenges for the cruiserweight title.

Yeah I agree it needs gone. Replace with something cooler. A new stage that looks better than all the others

Yeah RAW definitely needs a new stage. I agree that the current one is too flashy, something simpler would be better but I also don't think they should go back to the old stages even though I love those stages.

Are they still using the X design for WWE Live events?

Honestly, I was a fan of this stage. I would go with this one but any of the 3 posted would be a big upgrade over the HD monstrosity they have out there now. Bring a gritty/grimy feel back

Maybe the night after Summerslam (when the Network logo will apparently become the main logo) we could see a new HD Set. Hopefully if they do make a new one (which I doubt they will) it will look less PPV-ish/massive.

Are they still using the X design for WWE Live events? Yes. I see it on their Instagram all the time.

I don't really have a problem with the current one too much. But a change might be nice. Going back to the old stages would be silly, but using them as inspiration for something new would be fine.
If they did, which they probably won't because it would be a very large expense, I would prefer something a little bit smaller, as it is a bit too large currently.

A smaller stage for the TV shows could be cool, not necessary using something used years ago, though I'd mark out myself to see the old RAW is WAR stage from '98. Let the PPVs have the big stages and the TV shows should have a little bit smaller stages. A change in stage could be needed. I personally don't have a problem with the HD stage that they've used, though it's too big imo for a TV show.

does anyone realize this is a multi-million dollar MASSIVE television company?
have any of you seen TNA or other wrestling on TV? their entrance stages look like they belong with the company....low budget. sometimes i think people here forget this is 2014, and this is WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT not an indy promotion.
Their entire focus in this era is overselling, over dramatizing and making sure their fans and apparently the millions of people only watching the show for the first time see something IMPRESSIVE on the TV. There is nothing that looks like the current RAW stage, and when you see it you're supposed to be like "wow, thats big and HD and cool as hell"
Why would they go BACK to metal pipes and a cloth screen? wrestling fans really don't like to move forward huh?
