I just opened my extra flair and his waist is stuch as well. How did you loosen it? just put it boiling water? I just put a little force in my twisting and it snapped free.

Sorry you got a bogus Flair for your birthday. That's a bummer.

Happy birthday. Sorry you got sent a bad figure. Jakks are really skipping these days. Oh...wait... Nah, a Jakks Ric Flair at this point would probably ship with a Batista/Cena torso, no RF and a steel chair or cookie sheet.

I was so excited that I finally got a Mattel Flair, which is so badass, that I totally forgot to check if he had a neck, but I don't even care because I have a Mattel Ric Flair! Wooooooooo!

Most people are complaining about the torso (including myself at first)..until I realized mattel was going for a younger flair..believe it or not, flair actually had some cuts and definition in his younger years..so it works for me..

I put it in boiling water for about 2 mins and it turned easily. That is probably the only thing good about the mattel figures over the last two years. The glue softens way easier than earlier mattels, thus making torso cracks and loosening joints/waists pretty easy.

Sorry to hear about your Flair. Mine was stuck at the waist and the ab crunch was super loose. Here's what he looks like with the DH Smith torso.

The torso is appropriate for mid 80's Flair, the head on the other hand is of an old Flair with a full head of hair, that is my issue, along with the mix-matched robe, Flair did not stop caring about matching until his final run in the WWE.

let me say this , this is a 24.99 figure and if Mattel wants "DM" to sell well... lol they need to get there Chocolate Shark together really fast. Missing the RF is just no excuse.. then the neck issue ..good god .. we might be saying bye faster than we said hello to DM. (again)

my Flair (from Ringside) is perfect. RF logo, regular neck, joints are fine. I guess I got lucky.
I'm actually kinda pissed he didn't come with a gold display stand. This is a $25 figure....they couldn't throw in a .03 cent stand? nitpicking and it doesn't take away from the figure, but still it's just head scratching.
I wish instead of the WHC & blue attire they had just given him his Royal Rumble 1992 attire w/ Winged Eagle belt and made it a TRUE "Defining Moment"

every Mattel thread i've seen gets turned into the soap opera known as "Mattel QC issues"
that's NOT what i came to see, i've came to see WWE figures, not men in 30s living in their basements, tipping their fedoras and bitching about QC

Look I'm a proud Mattel supporter, they've made arguably the BEST wrestling action figures with articulation to do basic wrestling moves like a boston crab and attention to scale. This is probably my first defect figure in 4 years of collecting and it had to be one of my most favourite wrestlers. Of course I'm bummed. And in my case, I'm not even bitching about the price because I'd pay all the time for more Flairs, and everyone has their opinion on the torso, but missing the "NF"? C'mon.

Don't know if it's the camera flash but even Smith's tone looks slightly off, much better than Funk's torso though.

For the most part this figure is a homerun from Mattel. I'd say if Bandy's had the RF on the trunks his would have been a homerun also. I don't see an issue with the head sitting too low on his. My second Flair is the first figure I have had a QC issue with since the DM Macho Man's hip stem snapped in two.

Did DM figures have a lot of QC issues?
