I don't think so. Until opening my second Flair this morning and noticing he was missing the paint application on his trunks I have only had 3 QC issues with any of my Mattel WWE figures. I had 2 Basic Series 2 Kozlov figures have their hips tear off because they were fused together and then the DM Macho. Other than those there figures I haven't had any QC issues until this morning.

I think the Flair is perfect. My only problem is that I have one of the glued waists... from someone that is a novice and never dealt with this, is there any way to mobilize the waist without breaking it, It's perfect otherwise.

I just put a little extra force in my twist and it snapped free. Works fine now.

Anyway, I tried that and nothing, Hot water, even did my old trick of blowing hot air from a blow dryer on it. Nothing. Plus, I already don't have the Midas touch with these things, I'm a bit too strong for my own good lol. I mean, other than that, the figure is PERFECT and I only pose it (which if you think about it, doesn't require really any waste movement at all...) so I'm wondering if I should just leave well enough alone and just not chance it.

If it doesn't bother you then leave it as is...but I'd say just keep trying to snap it free. Eventually it'll snap free.

lol you shouldnt have to "snap the waist in place" its ridiculous how some of you are ok with that.. Well, I'm just picking my battles here, I've had VERY few issues with Mattel (a few paint marks on figures, sloppy app here and there, NEVER a missing decal or eyebrow or anything like that.) It's just such a beautiful figure. Are the more widespread than there should be problems with this particular highly anticipated figure a little alarming? Yes. But I can overlook it a bit being that so many people are having so many MORE problems with the figure.

I love the figure and think it looks great. My only issue is that if it is a DM, what specfic moment does it represent? I don't remember that robe and gear color corresponding with anything special. The figure looks great as do the accessories.

Used hot water to move my flairs waist. Only real complaint is the VERY loose torso joint.
FYI, the copyright on the bottom of the feet is 2011. I'm sure this doesn't mean anything. Just random info.

I honestly may get murdered for saying this here......but I never really liked Flair....not even in my top 25 all time. I'm only 25 and never watched WCW really if that makes a difference. Only time I remember watching him was his WWE days and I'm not an Evolution fan at all.
But I will say this figure is amazing so I'll probably order one soon.

I personally think it is a fantastic Ric Flair figure. Flair is a guy that in my opinion doesn't need a whole lot of figures. I would be perfectly happy with this figure if it was the only one. Although, I suppose to be fair you should do his 92-98 look and his last active wrestler run in WWE.

If they didn't release another this would be fine as it is my favorite attire for Flair. But if they were to release 2 more Flair's I would like one to be like the CSDA figure (really long feathered hair) and then one from later on career in all black. But like I said this Flair is perfect to me.

I'd love a Flashback figure of him in his red robe/gear - it would go with the Wrestlemania VIII Macho Man we have too.

The only other Flair I would really want, would be him in pink trunks with navy blue knee pads, pink boots. RSC was kind enough to offer to replace my defect Flair, so I can't wait for the new one to arrive!!
I've got the right ropes on my NWA ASR ring, can't wait to get my NWA figures in there for action poses!

I want one in every color of the rainbow(basic or elite); red/red, red/black, yellow/yellow, green/yellow, purple/purple, pink/pink, WM 24 blue, RR92 black, and more that I can think of atm.
The more Flairs the merrier imo, I'd like to see a lot different ages, feuds, and expressions represented.

Surely Mattel will make tons of Flairs. I am sick of seeing tons of Mark Henry, Cena, Sheamus, etc etc etc
