I'm not advocating nuking the whole middle east, but something must be done, here. They've beheaded two Americans, and are threatening (and have the means) to attack the U.S. and Europe.
There is a time for understanding and such, and yes I know we haven't helped anything by sending troops over there for years. But, honestly, you cannot reason with radical Muslim extremists. They are entrenched in their 'jihad,' and nothing we can say will change that. In a situation like this where a radical group is slaughtering innocents day in and day out, we must intervene and put a stop to it. If we don't, it'll snowball out of control and we'll have another attack on U.S. soil before you know it.
Unfortunately, we won't do anything about it because our current administration is more concerned about golfing and fundraising then what's going on in the world.

He is saying NUKE the ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST. Arab people live in the Middle East. Arab is a term for people with OLIVE COMPLEXION. Please don't try pointing out the smallest things in my argument you can just to try and suck up to another member for some reason. Not once did I imply all Muslims were terrorists. 32.58 Million people live in Iraq, they are a country that is highly focused on Islamic laws, such as women not showing their face or leaving their home without a male present. They even ban bacon and beer because of their Islamic beliefs. So it's safe to say atleast 95% of people in Iraq are Muslim. The only country in the Middle East that is not Muslim is Israel. So roughly 80% of the Middle East is Muslim.
Now with 32.58 Million citizens in Iraq, how could they all possibly be terrorists when (This is reports from ISIS, not 100% confirmed.) there are 50,000 fighters in Syria and 30,000 in Iraq. Now there's also Al Qaeda who has under 30,000 members spread across multiple countries (Afghanistan, Iraq, Maghreb, India, Syria and Yemen). That's a total of 110,000 terrorists in the Middle East approximately. That's 0.337 percent and that's only working on 110,000 terrorists operating in Iraq and there isn't even that many operating in Iraq. The majority are in Syria.
So everyone saying all Muslims are terrorists look at the statistics. Tell me. Is it worth nuking Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries just for a tiny amount of terrorists? I understand looking at it from a bigger scale tells a different story, I'm not denying 110,000 militants is a large number. It's just it's completely tiny compared to the number of civilians in Iraq and other countries.
Edit: Damn. The person I tried quoting had deleted his post. He implied I was saying all Arabs are Muslim and that I was racist because of it. Appears he saw how idiotic that was.

Scottish hostage next and the killer has a London accent. Britain will now be getting involved in this.

Islam is a vile, hateful and deplorable religion. Yes, not every Muslim is a fundamentalist, but just because there are a lot of cherry pickers doesn't make it okay. Their faith demands that anyone who doesn't convert to Islam MUST be put to death. That alone makes me despise Islam, not to mention all the other evil that spews from it. Call me a bigot or whatever, but I'm sorry. I WILL NOT stand idly by while there are those out there that want to kill me just because I won't convert to their silly religion. So if anything needs to be eradicated, it needs to be their ing abhorrent religion.

Obama has targeted and killed Americans on foreign soil. Obama has sent troops into countries. Obama has authorized the bombings of countless places that have killed so many people including innocent civilians. And we're the good guys in all this? How many different threats have there been over the years? The number is too high. And how many of them escalated to an attack here in the US? A couple. The chances of them attacking us here are so low. You have a better chance of being killed by lightning than by a terrorist.

Every time I visit the 9/11 Memorial, it is sad knowing what happened to those people.

Never said we we were the 'good guys.' And as far as Obama's strategies, or lack thereof, I agree: he's not handled much of anything well. However, innocent people are the good guys, man. No matter what religion they're from, or what nationality. ISIS has murdered many people in the region. Muslims, Christians, anyone who doesn't agree with their interpretation of Islam. That is something that the world, not just the United States, should be against. And yes, we should use force, if necessary, to stop the slaughter of innocents. As far as the threats of attacks in other parts of the world: yes they exist, and are dangerous. Anyone could walk in our southern border right now. That's a risk. It's not about the threat of attack against America, it's about the threat of attack against INNOCENT people, like you and I. Threats of attacking us, or others around the world simply because we do not identify with the radical Islamist way of thinking. It's a threat that we have to take seriously and take care of now.

They misinterpret and twist the religion so they can justify it, just like those who are anti-Islam misinterpret and twist it to blame people. Islam is not a threat. Bad people are a threat. However, we only seem to care when they are from that area but only if we aren't friends with them.

I am, however, against the radical interpretation of Islam displayed by ISIS and other radical terrorist groups. They (ISIS) want a global caliphate. They want to kill people, like you and I, who don't see the world the way they do. They're beheading children, for goodness sake. That's something we can't take lightly, Slappy. I respect your knowledge and opinion. But, we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

Islam did not attack us on 9/11. 19 people who just happened to be of that faith did. Let me put this into perspective of a lifelong resident of New York City. Islam did attack us on 9/11. The hijackers believed America is the number one enemy. They acquired visas to get into the US, learned how to fly commercial airliners, and had people financing their suicide mission. All of these Islamic extremists care about is killing Americans and achieve martyrdom. If these people bombed your town, you wouldn't like it. These extremists are giving Islam a bad reputation. The Middle East will never be at peace. Like the policies of past presidents, Obama is doing his best to protect us from future attacks. Remember one thing, I remember both attacks on the World Trade Center. Both attacks that were carried out by people who believe Islam is the superior religion.

Yeah, do nothing. Islam did not attack us on 9/11. 19 people who just happened to be of that faith did. And they also used it to justify their actions. You can use anything to justify your actions, doesn't mean it's to blame. If I were to do something bad and use Sesame Street as my justification, no one should be rushing to attack Big Bird.

I don't understand how when some else does something terrible, they are scum and need to be dealt with but when the United States does the same thing, maybe on a grander scale, "nobody" bats an eye. I'm not trying to say you think this way, I'm talking in generalities.

Just like in many parts of Africa, nothing is going to change there, until the people WANT to change. You can't force cultural change with weapons and bombs. If anything, it makes matters worse. These countries have to figure things out for themselves, and during that process, a lot of bad things are probably going to happen. But culturally, it has to come to a point where their society won't tolerate these radicals anymore, and they are extinguished. Our decades of meddling have created many of these extremists, and continued meddling will only create more. Eventually their culture will evolve, though I doubt we will be around to see it.
