How cold did it get? Was it n your home or storage? I ask because I live in western NC and we have had snow already and temps in the low 20s. We also had temps reaching single digits last year and nothing like this has ever happened to any of mine. I am really sorry this happened, but was the figure played with much? By the looks of his eyebrow paint, he looks like he has been in some serious battles! I know that some loose collectors play with their figures and pose them in the finishing move or various other in ring dioramas, so maybe his legs were damaged that way. Just a little stress put on a plastic joint for a long period of time can weaken it and weaken it, and maybe the slightest repositioning was the straw that broke the camel's back. Again, sorry this happened, especially to one of your favorites, but I have had figures in extreme heat and cold (high 0s during summer and low teens during winter) here with figures at home and in storage, and nothing has ever happened to my WWE, Star Wars, or GI Joes. There must be something more at work here than the cold temps. I hope you can fix it. Good luck! I live in Boston the temp has dropped a lot over the last two days. The figure has always had tight joints but never ever felt like it was ready to break. I use it all the time and it's not like it has been sitting for a while. I came in after work last night and picked him up off my dresser. He felt like an entirely different figure right away. Dried up, hard, cold. So I start to test his joints and get him warmed up again and the juices flowing. Like stretching for real people LOL. I used little to no force and BOOM. Both legs broke off at the same time. I didn't beat up this figure prior, he's had his joints and legs moved many times and never showed signs of breaking before. It's almost like someone took my old bulldog while I was at work and swapped it with a garbage one. That's why I can't think of ANYTHING besides the cold weather. And if this is gonna continue happening with all of my non ball joint hip figufed , I am royally ed. I've never seen a figure break this way nor did I think it was possible. All these amazing figufed I have with loose legs are just to end up breaking as well eh?

Mattel really needs to do away with those awful hip joints. I never got why those were even considered over the nice clean solid ball joints. Also i doubt the weather had anything to do with this. Ive had figures in very warm and very cold and they were fine. Also people even use hot and cold methods to fix their figures.

Same thing happen to a Vladimir Kozlov I ordered during the winter. I took it out of the box and started testing the joints and the leg snapped just like yours

So the temp has dropped here the past few days. And I haven't really touched any of my figs for a while. So u pick up one of my FAVORITE (and most expensive) figures , Legends Bulldog, and I spread his legs out and boom. Both of them just fall off like it was NOTHING. I am so heartbroken right now and don't even wanna touch any of my other figures. This is a ing shame man. My night is ruined Is there any way at all I can fix this? Can I crack his crotch piece and stick another set of legs on there, glue it back on. And swap boots onto them? That sux dude! Looks like his knee pads are split at the back too, did you add the white kneepad over the top yourself? If you did maybe the joint got weakened then?

This is scary. I too live in the northeast, I am scared now to open any of my MOC collection because of this. I have about 20 figs (including bulldog) that I haven't decided if I'll open or not

The only figure that this happened to in my collection is DM Taker. It was only his left leg and he can still stand with it unnoticed on the display stand so I haven't gotten around to buying a second. It does suck that this happened to your Bulldog. I hope you find one cheap.
I don't think it has to do with temperature. I'm from Brooklyn and my Mattel's have survived several freezing winters. The room where I keep my fingers in is also the coldest room in the house. Another thing, I know that a lot of people stick figures in the freezer to fix stiff legs. I did this with my L1 Austin and although it didn't fix the issue, it didn't make the stiffness any worse.

I had a King Booker and Brock and they were the same way. Luckily I was able to replace them in a trade.

I'm afraid this will happen to me, I haven't acknowledge my figures in awhile and my room has been cold. If this theory is true, I'm screwed. Sorry this happened to you, I'd try my best to customize it back together.

This happens a lot? I have what few I have (recently started collecting again) still sealed. I always am tempted to crack them open, but this makes me reconsider. Do basics fall apart as well? Those and those dollar general figures are all I have currently.
