You know I love HIMYM but a Breaking Bad thread becoming a HIMYM is a whole lot of wrong. But yeah, Lily's an unlikable character. Walter's a far more likable than she is XD.

Yeah I like The Captain. When you finish S9 YouTube The Pineapple Incident Solved (it was a DVD Extra), he makes an appearance. YouTube the Alternate Ending once you've finished too, its interesting. I agree about the Marshall stuff. It annoys me that Lily wins literally every argument they ever have, yet Marshall's never done something remotely as bad as Lily leaving in Season 1. Yes I'll do both of those things when I've finished S9. My dislike of Hannigan aside, Lily is quite an unlikeable character. Just been watching a few more episodes. The speech Ted gives at the end of Ep20 hits you right in the feels. Ah yeah I remember that speech. There's a lot of 'feels' moments in S9 too.

I'm actually surprised at how much I've grown to like the show, as when I saw a random clip of an episode on TV once I didn't think it looked that good.

I then watched a few episodes and enjoyed it so I bought the box set (this was during season 6). Its now one of my favourite comedy shows; I just love the way they mix comedy and serious stuff.

Yeah it's them handling the serious stuff so well that makes it a great show. A lot of comedy shows fall flat when they attempt serious stuff.

I always liked Walter throughout the entire series, I enjoyed seeing a normal guy rise up like that. I never really felt he did things too harsh or undeserved. He's about as likeable as a character like Scarface, they have their evil moments, but at the end of the day you love watching every momeny of them rising from the bottom to the top.

Watching the series through a second time must be a dramatically different experience. Like when I was watching Season 1, I empathised with his decision to have to kill Emilio, now knowing what a horrible person he becomes it'll be weird seeing moments like that in a different light..

As evil as he becomes, I like Walter, as hard as it may seem there is always some reason to evils that he does, and often times it is his only choice such as poisoning Brock, if Walter hadn't have done that Gustavo might have killed Walter and his family. In my opinion I believe that Walter let Jane die because he thought that Jane was bad for Jesse, he saw both of them high on heroin and in Walters mind he knew they would leave with the money and continue doing heroin and meth, so he made a decision he thought was best. I think Walter was just a normal man facing tough decisions with few solutions.

Throughout the 6 years of this show being on the air, I watched people say they turned on Walt at different intervals. I never thought it would happen to me, I was always on his side.
And then he gave up Jesse's hiding spot in the desert. To me, that put his evil over the top. That episode is the hardest hour of television to watch.

I though it'd be better to bump an old thread I made rather than start a new one.
I finished BB today, the final season was absolutely fantastic TV. IMO it got a little rough/repetitive in S3 and S4. Walt is definitely an interesting character, but I never liked him again after Jane.

I never did drugs or drank in my life and I believe most should be illegal but that being said I can empathize with WW as he originally started it for his family thinking he would die and probably the best dramatic character in any TV drama ever ! What a show the first 3 years .

'Ozymandias' may be the single best episode of any television show, ever, for this very reason.

I loved him for some reason.
But Jesse was my guy for sure. I loved Jesse from the start and that only grew throughout the show.

The more devious Walt got, the more I disliked him. However, there was not any point in the series that I didn't want him to succeed.
