If the WWE brought back Brawl for All and CM Punk was in it, he would realize he has no business doing MMA

I laughed so hard listening to this. Absolute gold! I listen to their podcasts every week. jr tries to claim that it was just 'business' and not personal when dr death was teamed with oklahoma in wcw but ya have to wonder. Yes you do......Its such a pity Williams was ruined out of this in asswipe of a tourney. He had a lot offer WWF in 1999/2000 IMO..... Now that you mentioned this, some can say that "Dr. Death" Steve Williams came into the WWF too early. Had he came into the WWF towards the end of 1999, he would have had hard hitting matches with Kurt Angle and Tazz. Let alone have a program with Chris Benoit. After the whole Brawl For All debacle, his career was never the same.

Whole idea was stupid. I see the merits in it, and I think it could be fun in a fantasy scenario, but it served no purpose. They also seemed to change the rules on a whim.
I don't buy Severn's story for a minute, either. Godfather was giving him way more than he wanted, so he quickly pulled out, so as to not embarrass his tough guy status just in case some over the hill wrestler didn't knock him out.
Once Bart knocked Dr. Death out, they started doing funny finishes with him too. He was getting hammered a few times, but managed to keep winning.
Dr. Death was tough as can be, but he wasn't a boxer. Putting him in there with guys half his size, 10 years his junior and twice as fast, was never going to end well.

I'll admit i was younger at the time so i cant fully speak for his reputation at the time but the mans known for knocking people the out now so that says enough.

I saw one Brawl For all match live - it was in State college,PA. the 2nd Raw after King of the Ring 1998 ( back when they'd still do it live one week, taped the next. this was taped on a Tuesday night). think it was Bradshaw vs The Godfather? at any rate, the crowd thought it sucked and booed throughout.

You know what's really funny and I actually didn't notice it myself, but my buddy mentioned it to me a few weeks back, was that in the Jackass movie, Johnny Knoxville lasted longer with Butterbean than Bart Gunn did.
Now, I'm not sure that is completely right, I may have to go back and re-watch it, but I do believe Johnny Knoxville may have lasted longer than Bart Gunn did. You be the judge:
