People paid to see Eddie vs Lesnar and it's the exact same story with a huge underdog going up against an ultimate wrecking machine Exactly. And people didn't care for Lesnar/Goldberg which is the closest parallel I guess to Reigns. IMO Reigns is just not ready to main event WM. I think he should have won the US Title from Rusev and then next year he could have gotten his main event push. Who knows maybe he will really surprise me..?

He might not be as over as he was... But he's still overall the most over guy on the roster... At least other than Cena (i think Cena still commands more noise good or bad). The logic of the Yes being more over is kinda understandable until you consider that others have tried to use it and the crowd doesn't care to follow it the same. Big Show a few times during his being fired angle.. Paul couldn't even move the crowd with it, the same (crappy) crowd that responded to Bryan using it.
I sorta feel bad for Roman still.

Bryans being booked like superman tbh And yet he's still over as kkkk To say he isn't over is just ignorant, look what happened when they gave Big Show the yes chant. Everybody still got bored to tears he's being booked well, but I don't see how you can say like Superman. He lost to Wyatt his first(ish) match back. Got super chumped at the Rumble. Still gets thrashed by the authority (granted when he is ganged up on). Had a hard fought match that seemed believable that Kane might win. And as of last night Roman was made to look stronger 1v1

Grammatically speaking, your thread title should be 'Daniel Bryan isn't AS over as you think he might be'.
Thing is though, he is, and always will be'.

Daniel Bryan is over. Not as over as he was last year... But he is over.
Roman Reigns is over.
That's it. I'm enjoying this feud between them.

If Daniel Bryan isn't considered 'over', who is? Cause Cena/Reigns (maybe even Billy Gunn) sure as hell isn't close to DB in terms of 'over-ness'.

If anyone thinks Daniel Bryan isn't over, you need to clean your eyes and ears out.
The "Yes" movement is one of the most organic things to happen in years.

Nobody is paying for WM for any match! It's always what happens after or around the matches that is most news worthy.

All I can say is that if Bryan vs. Brock doesn't happen I will be extremely disappointed. I have wanted that match and feud for a long time. I think they will both beat the crap out of eachother... a very brutal match with lots of submissions. It would be ideal to me to see Brock tap to the Yes Lock. How awesome would that be?
I almost fear for Bryan getting injured in that match though.

This idea that people still have that the "Yes" chants are more over than Bryan is beyond ridiculous. It's been, what, three years now with the live crowds firmly behind Daniel Bryan? If the fans were simply reacting to just chants they would've died out by now. Don't believe me? Go look at what Fandango is doing now after his dumb theme song got him over for about a week before people got sick of it. I don't understand why people don't seem to understand that Bryan is the best worker in the company and the people appreciate him for that. He's not made out to be a real life super hero or anything; he's a normal guy like you or me. That's why he's a fan favorite.

Ok, heres the scenario, Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan. Would you pay money to see that? I wouldnt. I cant buy into the believability factor that Bryan might beat Lesnar. So, hence my question, is he as over as you think he is or is WWE right to hold him back? I personally think WWE have got the right idea by not going as forward with him as many would like to see. I think the YES chant is certainly over but I think many a fan would be disappointed to see Lesnar vs Bryan as a main event at WM than are letting on. Am i full of steaming hot grade A monkey crap? Or I have I got a point? Opinions. This is incredibly stupid. Daniel Bryan is more over right now than John Cena has ever been, and is the biggest babyface in the industry.

Or I have I got a point? Opinions. ' Guess it's definitive since it's on the Internet. On a side note, I feel this is a way to makeup for the botches of not putting the belt on Guerrero and Benoit sooner. Both were jam up guys who could tell beautiful stories in the ring. Unfortunately, their careers coincided with a time in which drug and substance abuse, along with medical injuries, were rampant and swept under the rug. I believe that both relied on drugs and alcohol to get through it, and both paid the ultimate price. I think when we fans saw how pleasing it was to see these two crowned champions of their craft, we had hoped to see them perform for many many more years. That never came to pass. So in order to avoid a situation where we waited too long to really appreciate certain wrestlers, the fans are becoming more vocal to ensure that the real bests of the world are given their accolades sooner. I believe that wrestling is an entertainment form. Everybody has their role. But just like the Emmys and Grammys, the World Title belt does mean something more than just a prop to advance a storyline. It's perhaps a recognition amongst peers and fans that someone has achieved a great level of success. Fans just want to make sure this is recognized now, so that they can continue to see top caliber matchups, instead of when its too late.

I would. This is pro wrestling. Not believable realistic fighting world. These are comic/superhero characters that do live performances.
You may be watching the wrong show...

David vs Goliath is one of the oldest stories in the book. In this version, instead of a rock and a sling, Goliaths gonna get his ing head taken off with a running knee

Is this a real MMA fight? No. Is this pro wrestling? Yes.
In conclusion, Daniel Bryan as the David to Brock Lesnar's Goliath is something people want to see and could realistically be seen.

- Daniel Bryan is completely over. He is right up there with Cena. - The crowd last night sucked, so it made it appear somewhat differently. - Daniel Bryan shouldn't be allowed to face Brock Lesnar due to his injury risk.
