Darren Young tweeted criticising WWE choosing to run a tour in Abu Dhabi because of the country's attitude towards homosexuality (and women). WWE made him take the tweet down. So now he's kind of having an anti-WWE meltdown and tweeting/retweeting stuff he probably shouldn't in terms of his career... But good on him for standing up for what he believes in.
He tweeted and deleted:
He then tweeted:
He retweeted:
X-Pac tweeted in support of him too.

They've been running Abu Dhabi for a few years now. They can't take the divas on the tours, because the girls would literally get arrested for wearing their wrestling gear there.

Good for him. I not accusing him of anything, but he's not doing anything right now anyway. He can afford to fight for what he believes in. It's not a huge risk really. If he gets fired, he can use the media attention to make big bucks on the indies.
He does make good points.

I like this. Darren Young is in a unique situation within the company in which he probably isn't getting fired for something like this, and it's not like he can get any more buried than he is now.

The X-Pac support is intriguing. I'm interested to see how this plays out. They can't bury him, he isn't on TV and they certainly can't fire him over this as it would look horrible. Good for him regardless.

Can't wait for 'Darren Young: Militant Gay' to make it to TV.

Can't wait for 'Darren Young: Militant Gay' to make it to TV. Well, you have been wanting a gay character on WWE TV.

Yeah, good for him. I agree with his thought process as well. At some point, WWE has to take a moral stand over a financial gain when it comes to this kind of situation.
And how about we get the return of the PTPs so they can have that tag title run they never got... $$$

He was at that show where the Authority was back in power and the locker room was in the ring. Hey we need you here, but we don't have work for you...You can watch Titus do nothing with Heath Slater tho...

It's a shame that stuff like this happens but get over it Darren. The WWE tours the south and there are racists there who hate blacks. I guess they can't go there either. I know it's not the same but still. Maybe if Young would actually concentrate on being a better worker he'd be on tv and not having to do bullcrap like this. Nice to play the race/gay card.
I say release him and let him have his "Indy rainbow tour". At least he'd be seen by people.
Yea, yea. Vent your frustrations with this to the wall.

The difference between the south and some of these places overseas is the fact it's random people's opinions in the south. Whereas overseas there countries with laws that would have divas arrested and jailed for ring attire. As well as Darren in this case for being openly gay.

Foolish and childish move for Young to throw a tantrum on a social media account that represents the company that signs his checks. I'm sure he can vent his frustrations regarding this issue on his personal social media accounts without losing his "freedom of speech." Speak as Fred Rosser, not as the character Darren Young that isn't represented as a homosexual on TV. Seems like a cry for attention. Welp, he sure got it.
