I think the lucha underground show is far better than wwe. we get more wrestling and a hell of lot more action in the ring does anyone agree?

Talk about Lucha Underground in the Other Feds board.

I like a lot of the talent on Lucha Underground, but haven't really been able to properly keep up with it. From what I have seen, I still prefer WWE and NJPW.
And aren't "wrestling" and "action in the ring" the same thing?

I'm guessing the OP posted this in the WWE board first? lol. Dude, were you looking for trouble?
I do agree with you though. LU is light years ahead of WWE, buy that isn't saying much. My only complaints were the Slingblade thing Matt Striker was going with his voice (although he hasn't been doing it as much on recent episodes) and their title looks cheap as crap. It looks like a bootleg knockoff of those $200 replicas. Other than those fairly minor things, it's fantastic.
But is it the best wrestling on TV? That's a tough one. IF Lucha Underground is better than New Japan's AXS show, it's just barely better. My top three are LU, NJPW (not necessarily in that order) and ROH. ROH is definitely #3, which is crazy because just a few months ago they were my #1.
It's a great time to be a wrestling fan. I don't need to watch WWE, although I do tune in from time to time to see if they're ever going to turn things around. I've finally given up on TNA. Dixie just doesn't want her company to succeed. That's the only logical explanation for such utter incompetence. But these things don't matter. I can still get my weekly wrestling fix. 2-3 hours per week -- depending on what I get to on my DVR that week -- is perfect. I get just enough to want more, just like any good TV show should do. It doesn't feel like getting through it is a chore, like most 3 hour Raws do. There's enough great programming on TV and more PPVs coming. It looks like Vince didn't totally ruin the business after all.

I enjoy Lucha Underground, but it has two flaws that keep me from loving it. One is the backstage movies. I hate when WWE shoots scenes like that (the fly on the wall camera man is bad enough), and it seems even worse here. Maybe because it's the only way they do it. Second is my problem with the Lucha style, which is how little many of the guys hide that they're working together to perform moves. Whether it's a guy waiting forever just staring at the person who is about to dive one him, armdrags where the one performing it barely touches the one who gets thrown across the ring, etc. it just takes me out of it. Some of the better guys avoid this pitfall, but enough don't that it bugs me.
Both of these issues come down to one thing, really. I like my wrestling to be believable. I can stretch it some, but I have limits. WWE tests them all the time, but that's usually more with story lines than in the ring. It's probably also why NJPW and ROH are my favorite companies. they treat it like a real sport. We all know it's not, but it's nice to have companies that don't try to remind us of that fact.
Ranking them, I'd put NJPW and ROH at a close 1 and 2, the top one depending on my mood, WWE at 3 (though if it were just NXT it would be number 1), then Lucha Underground and TNA at last. Though to be fair, that's most as I've barely watched TNA in year unless I hear about a truly exceptional match.
That said, I love that we have all these companies vying for our attention now. As a kid I had WWE, WCW, ECW, USWA, SMW, IWCCW and several other upstarts and local companies. As far as variety, this is the best it has been in almost 20 years.

That's your opinion...I'd prefer to judge things on their own merits instead of needlessly comparing an upstart promotion to the big 'E...

I'll agree that Lucha Underground is a great show, I love watching Lucha Underground every Saturday, whether live or after work. However, I'm not gonna compare Lucha Underground with WWE on what's better.
(BTW, I watch it Saturdays because I watch the Spanish version of the show on UniMas since I don't get El Rey)

I love both. At the moment Lucha Underground is more entertaining to me.

Lucha Underground is a fun alternative but I prefer New Japan more.
