Kevin needs to re-evalute his entire career right now. I love Kevin. I will always love him.. But I refuse to see Yoga Hoosers.. And I thought Tusk was off the wall terrible.. Has anyone actually seen the trailer for Yoga Hoosers? Good God.. Man, I didn't know what you were talking about at first so I Youtubed Tusk and Yoga Hoosers. Holy . What was that about (Tusk) was Justin Long in need of some money? That looked cringey as hell. I saw the Makariel scene and the Walruses don't cry part. What the hell man? The last Smith movie I had seen that wasn't Clerks 1 or 2 , Dogma, and J & SB was Red Dawn. It was okay at best but the ending was kinda lame. Probably won't be watching this new one.

I'm sorry but, Mallrats was a ing terrible movie. Jay and Silent Bob Strike back was fantastic though. As was Chasing Amy. Although, I personally can't stand Joey Lauren Adams. I wish they had gotten someone else to play Amy. Other than that, such a great movie.

Smith dropped the ball as fast as he picked it up with Clerks. And unlike most artists who get dismissed after a failure of their sophomore effort, he's gotten a record number of opportunities to follow. And luckily, it hasn't all been a waste. As I said before, there are a few diamonds in the rough that is Kevin Smith's filmography. But Mallrats isn't one of them. What's next? Zack and Miri Make Another Porno?

All of the above. Seriously though, I get the pleasure (term used loosely) of meeting a few directors and actors in my line of work and Kevin Smith is by far the nicest and most chilled out, just a cool dude. From what we spoke about he's shooting Moose Jaws next month and then onto Mallrats 2, which at the moment is going to be a TV series instead of a film.

Smith just posted a comment saying his deal with Universal closed today and now he can shop the TV series in August. I see this as a Netflix or a Showtime show. Maybe something off the wall like Crackle, but it needs an unfiltered home.
I think the funny part here though is that he doesn't actually have 10 episodes worth of script. He wrote a movie. And now, on a whim, and likely because Universal wasn't interested in paying for the sequel, he's turning this into a mini series. He did a good job on Flash though. So there is this big part of me that thinks as long as he can get Jason Lee, London and Doherty committed for all 10, which seems totally feasible, this could be incredible.
I guess who am I kidding. I'd watch 10 episodes of Brodie behind a comic shop counter talking sh*t to customers. It'd be like 10 episodes of High Fidelity, only even more self indulgent and self depreciating. 5 stars... as long as there are kids on escalators.

Clerks 2 is my second favorite Smith movie (after Dogma). Especially since my name's in the credits. What was the deal with the names in the credits? i remember something going on with Myspace or Facebook, but can't remember what it was.

There was a myspace link, that if you liked the Mooby's myspace page, before a certain date, they'd put your name in the credits. sure enough, they put all 10,000+ names in! i even found mine once. It's really in there!

I had completely forgotten about it till I read your post.

Listening to the latest Jay & Silent Bob Get Old. Kev mentioned that everyone that agreed to come back for the movie will still be coming back for the series.
