So one small thing that bugs me about the current product is that whenever somebody is being interviewed they are always at that promo area in the back. They are either being interviewed there Or the superstar just so happens to be passing by the area and they cut a promo. I always loved when somebody was getting ready for a big match, the interviewer would try and find them and ask them a question. Whether they were in the locker room or knocking on their locker room door, it just made things feel less staged. Last week on NXT, having Riley be interviewed as he was in the locker room made it seem so much more legit. Just something small that I really take note of. (Video refuses to start where I want it to, so its at 23:37)

Yeah I'd love to see pre-match and post match interviews more. Triple H seems to have taken NXT back to the old school way of doing things. And it works.
I'd also like the big interview stage they used to stand on back in the day to return too. But I'm not getting my hopes up on that one.

I agree with the OP as well as your suggestion of the big box or the Mean Gene box as I've always dubbed it. Backstage segments in general are lacking. It is always the interview area or The Authority's office. Even for attack segements they just use the interview area.

Sorry for the double post but i had this thought just as i hit reply...
I REALLY miss seeing guys "arrive" to the arena, weather it be Vince pulling up in his limo, a guy walking in with his bags and being stopped for an interview. I miss those a lot.

Yeah I agree interviews in NXT seem more organic than on the main roster.

Those promos were cool because it was almost like an inside look at the wrestlers lives, but only what the WWE wanted you to see. Guys walking in the arena in street clothes (another thing that annoys me is the lack of street clothes) rolling their luggage in. Or being interviewed in their dressing room with their gear behind them. It's really little things but back then it was a cool little inside view I suppose.

NXT feels more organic and less scripted which is one of the reasons why I like the product.
