This is great news! The King of Hearts forever! Can't believe he would've been 50 years old today.

Had to hapen sooner or later, Martha isnt immortal, and neither are pay checks.
I guess it was a waiting game.
Glad Owen is getting some of recognition he deserves!

After Sting appearing in WWE, this I thought was the last 'holdout' type situation...yeesh!!
Awesome news....

I don't know, the young pieces are there and Rizzo and Castro are better than ever. If they can fix their bullpen before the second half I think we see them take a wild card this year and only get better. They just scored 19 runs in 3 games against the Cardinals, who are tops in the NL. The offense is going to be absolutely insane a year or two from now at this rate. You sound like a Cubs fan in May. You guys are adorable this time of year Always next year

Cant wait to see the list of matches...
Owen & Koko vs Orient Express Owen & Jim vs Orient Express Blue Blazer vs Jim Powers Owen vs Bret I Owen vs Bret II Owen vs Bret II Owen vs Bulldog I Owen vs Bulldog II Owen vs Bret IV
I kid I kid...but honestly Id look forward more to a documentary part then the matches part. While he was a great worker, he didnt exactly have a lot of memorable feuds and "classic" matches.

My older brother, who was a huge Owen Hart (and any wrestler that was Canadian as a matter of fact) will love to own this DVD.

I won't criticize Martha for holding out for so long since I'm not in her situation but this is very good news and I wish it had happened sooner. Owen deserves the recognition that he will finally receive and hopefully this leads to more such as video games, figures and most importantly a Hall of Fame induction. This documentary, I'm sure, will be extremely emotional and I'm excited to watch it.

One more note on this, does anyone feel Triple H played a part in reaching out to her? From my understanding, and I may be completely wrong on this if so please correct me, didn't Triple H play a huge role in reaching out to Warrior and Bruno and helping resolve those issues? If so then this guy really is "best for business".

HHH was instrumental in brokering the deals with Bruno, Warrior & Sting. So yeah He likely had a hand here too....If so-Fair f*ckin play to him.

I will absolutely never, ever, forget HHH on the Owen Tribute Raw. I remember when the whole thing happened it was so surreal. It wasn't until I saw HHH talking that it really all kind of set in with me at one time that Owen was gone. I have absolutely no doubt that HHH was involved here in some way. It seemed to be a situation that really affected him hard and I don't think that's something you ever really get over. That one seems extra personal to him.

If we're talking strictly workrate and wrestling ability, not many guys were better. Guys like Shawn Michael's think his versatility of styles made him the best Hart. You left out the IYH#6 Match vs Shawn Michaels, his tags with Bulldog vs Furnas and Lafon, his NJPW matches with Liger, his KOTR match with the 1-2-3 Kid which deserves a star a minute, and his One night only match with Vader. You also can't downplay the stuff you mentioned by saying they weren't ''classic'' matches. His best stuff was given 5 star ratings. I get that some people think he was overrated, but again from a strictly in ring perspective, the guy was in an elite class.

guys, we gotta remember... DVD & merch deals are completely different than figure deals. Mattel has said that multiple times. HOWEVER If Mattel could secure the rights to make Owen Hart? wow. That's almost bigger than Macho Man. Technically speaking, WWE doesn't need any sort of deal to put out a dvd. They've shown that before. For any other merchandise, though, they do. I think the most interesting thing about this news is that it's being done with Martha's blessing, which is a huge turnaround from previous times. Will it lead to more dealings between her and WWE? Who knows. But it certainly an interesting prospect. What I'm curious about is why the change of heart? I wonder if Triple H worked his magic again.
