Honestly, I think WWE has refrained from using Owen for a DVD to avoid dealing with her, but now they just don't care and are going ahead with it anyway. I think this, honestly. I think WWE has Bret onboard and they are just over her sh*t. As long as they pay her any contractual royalties, I'm pretty sure they can do whatever they want with content they own. I'm sure they went into the situation knowing, without Martha's approval, what kind of adversity they were facing from a legal standpoint. I just think we've seen enough time pass as to where WWE is willing to say enough is enough, it's time for a change. I hope this opens the gate for WWE inducting Owen into the HOF and Bret accepting the award for him. That's absolutely what should happen at this point. This pretty much means no figures though, which sucks.

Jesus.....there really is no give with this woman. At a certain point you would imagine that she would relent because of her husbands MANY fans. remember them Martha? The folks that showed up in droves to remember him and sent letters of condolence etc by the barrel load? The folks that had her living in the lifestyle that she became accustomed to? Unless in some crazy perverse way she blames all indicia of wrestling including the fans on Owens death. At this point I have little to no sympathy for her "plight" anyway. Go ahead and release the DVD WWE. Owens many fans(which I'm not really one of I must admit) deserve it she is 100% not required to make this DVD absolutely brilliant.. I think you just hit the nail on the head. I do feel sorry for her. Losing her husband in such a horrible and needless way. Her life was forever altered because the WWF wanted to do a goofy bit for the ing Blue Blazer. If there ever was something not worth dying for, that's definitely it. But this bitterness isn't helping anyone. I hope someday she realizes that's she's only hurting herself. Although I didn't know Owen and was never fortunate enough to meet him, I'm positive that he wouldn't want this.

If she does, and she loses, she may end up in a situation where the Legends deal is her only way to still collect a check from WWE. She won't be able to stand on that "leave his legacy alone" bullsh*t once WWE lets the cat out of the bag with the DVD, and, hopefully, HOF induction. I mean it's more wait and see. It was probably too much to ask to think she would just wake up one day and be ok with everything, sadly.

This is why I don't get my hopes up when it comes to Martha. It seemed too good to be true.

There isn't a single figure line that's ever made all 5 HF members, much less them all in those attires with the jackets .

It's a shame she is still holding on to a 15 year grudge Can't really blame her... people don't typically just forgive and forget when a loved one is killed due to a senseless stunt.

I'm sure if Owen had lived and stayed with WWF he would be the butt of several jokes for a few years to come, at least until Bret started to come around with the DVDs and the return. I get that we, as fans, want to celebrate Owen's life but perhaps the best way is to leave his family and his memory in peace. Enjoy the Hasbro and Jakks figures, enjoy the matches on DVDs that are already produced. At some point not everything is about the money and in some way, Martha has a value on her husband and family's life and that value seems to be no amount of money WWE could ever throw her way. Personally, I admire that and if I were to get married I'd want a wife who is true to her convictions like that.

Owen loved wrestling and how do you think he would feel if he knew his wife was trying to tarnish his legacy and erase it from existance? Owen died in a horrible way but it was an accident and no one meant for it to happen. Also I'm pretty sure the rest of the Harts would love to see his career get recognised and a HOF induction especially Bret because I'm sure he would love to pick up that award for him.

I really have no understanding left for Martha, just seems hateful now, I don't want to know about her right to be resentful and impede a legacy. Don't really care what her intentions are either. Get over it for the sake of your kids and the memory of Owen. Worse stuff has happened since then, like Benoit, Bret is on a healthier path than Martha now. Horrible disaster for sure, but Owen's work should be honored and remembered, and she wants to keep his memory all to herself it seems. So do they have the rights to do this or is she going to sue? Actually, I do have understanding left for Martha, forget about fans and everyone else, what Martha is doing is very unhealthy for her. I hate to see how she was apparently destroyed by Owen's death, she should have tried to move on, but I guess not everyone can. I know if I died on a woman I would want her to be able to move on, maybe remarry, that doesn't mean betray a memory, just that I would want health and happiness for her. With Owen being such a fun-loving playful guy, I think it's safe to assume he wouldn't wanted this either, he'd want the best for Martha, his kids and the fans too. I know it's stupid, but Owen was so good, I was busy disliking him the way he wanted me to when he died. His death might have been the total end of kayfabe for me, I really wanted him back to cheer for the first time.

I think the WWE has a right to release an Owen Hart DVD set. The fans deserve it. And Martha needs to remember it is the fans that made Owen wealthy and got Martha everything she owns. If Martha even tries to sue the WWE, it wouldn't matter, WWE would win. Martha has no right to say what the WWE does with any of its footage that is involving Owen Hart. Martha never cared for wrestling anyhow from the sounds of it. She went to the shows when she was little but because her older sister took her there. So she isn't even thinking of the fans in this. Sadly Martha won a lawsuit in 2012 against Vince and Linda for footage of Owen shown in DVD sets without her permission and without providing royalties as well. Now this was just one judge's ruling but if the WWE does the DVD and she sues it doesn't mean its a slam dunk for the WWE. She has a realistic chance of winning.

I have to laugh at all of you who are so quick to call this widow "selfish" for not being supportive of the company her husband worked and died making money from his image in the same post as saying how you're most disappointed that this means there won't be a Mattel figure made for YOUR collections. Think about it for a second... She's absolutely in the right here. Sure, maybe OWEN would do anything for the fans, including putting himself in life-ending situations for a mid-card gimmick, but why should she be expected to compromise her convictions so that you can buy more toys to play with/put on a wall? Be honest with yourselves, this isn't about "honoring his memory" or "celebrating his life and contributions to wrestling" (hint; that was done back in the 90s when he passed away), this is about you wanting more things for you collections. If you really want to honor Owen, watch the tapes and videos that he was a part of when he was alive, wear the old t-shirts, collect the Hasbros and BCAs, encourage others to do the same, and stop berating his poor widow who has said everything she has to say on the matter.
May he rest in peace.

Id skip on Pillman cause the Legends 3 is perfect for that run so a 4 pack like the Horsemen would have been perfect

But I think I will just leave it there so your MASSIVE misunderstanding of the sentiment in this thread can be displayed for all to see. Also you have no business telling people how to honour his memory or that this isn't about honouring his memory. I could say a lot more but I will restrain myself and leave it at that.
