Came across this story, no clue how reliable it is, but it was an interesting read wwfoldschool.com/the-undertaker-to-be-inducted-into-wwe-hall-of-fame-2016/On the one hand, if they were doing the Sting vs Taker, it would be cook to induct both, and have both face each other in their last match But, pretty sure Hogan can't wrestle anymore, although him vs Cena would make sense

I'd be willing to bet it's right. Seems logical to give Taker his inevitable induction in his home state.

Im not ready to say goodbye
He honestly looked like he had at least another 3 years left in him at Mania 31.

I hope not. If rather they wait a few years but at the same time, it'll be a great moment.

I grew up watching the Undertaker. He was the main reason I watched SmackDown weekly (and Edge) and to see him go would be one surreal experience. I'm glad for him because I think he quite possibly is the best wrestler of all time.

Hogan at nearly 63 wrestling a match? Why? I don't even know if fans care about him like they did during his 2002 run. He's been all over media, swinging on a ball naked and on a stupid reality show, he's been overexposed.
Sting/'Taker, don't care about it at all. It makes WrestleMania feel like a big wrestling reunion tour of old-timers, everyone wants the Attitude Era to last forever. Fine, do the match and get it over with. 'Taker going into the HOF isn't too bad, though.
Rock/Lesnar I could probably handle.

After he carried Wyatt to a great match last year, I have no idea why people WANT him to retire. Let him retire when he feel he needs to, if it's now? Then that's fine, he's one of the greatest of all time. If he wants to carry on doing what he does that no one else can do, then great.

makes perfect sense, shame that the streak was broken we could have had the one last big match vs Cena...with Undertaker getting the win and being the only guy to ever go out with a win

Putting 'Taker in the HOF in 2016 is not necessary, he's still a (somewhat) current WWE character.
I really think WWE short-changes itself (and the Wrestler/Legend) when they put guys into the Hall of Fame as soon as they finish their career (or pass on). Examples of this are Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Jim Ross, Jerry "The King" Lawler.
I think it's better to wait a few years & introduce the younger audience to wrestling stars they might not have otherwise known, while grabbing the "nostalgia" factor from those older fans who miss one of their favorites.... good examples are "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Bobby Heenan, Four Horsemen, Scott Hall.... heck, Larry Zbysko is getting a crap load of indy & autograph bookings right now due to his 2015 Hall of Fame induction....
In the (rare) case of Ric Flair, inducting him at the twilight of his career seemed to work well - Flair's "retirement weekend" was probably the right move to make, but that was an exception.... I suppose 'Taker could be another one of those.
I think inducting guys too soon after they finish robs them of some of that nostalgia, when they could have a kind of "renaissance" with fans by waiting a couple years and getting that spotlight "one more time"....
