Dear Ringside,
First and foremost, I am beyond ecstatic that you guys decided to go with Scott Hall as your 3rd exclusive for 2015. Big pat on the back for that. You guys certainly know what your customers want.
But the reason I made this thread is to hopefully get a better understanding on the aesthetic decisions behind this figure. Hopefully you guys are at liberty to answer some or all questions.
1. What made you go with the black/white attire as opposed to the, in my humble opinion (and it seems the opinions of most others around here as well), more iconic black/red "outsiders" attire?
2. Was the decision to switch the larger knee pads something that you guys made? Or was it handed down that way by Mattel?
3. Did you guys play any role in the decision for the headscan? Or did you guys specifically request the DM Razor ( assuming there weren't any other options)?
I am certainly very happy and appreciative of the selection of Scott Hall, but please also understand, that myself (and again, it seems like a lot of other people as well) am a little disappointed with the black/white and the large knee pads.
I am sure it's too late to change these things since it seems that figure is almost ready to go considering the packaging is all done. But I guess I just wanted to let you guys know how I and a few others feel about it.
Please keep this thread positive.
And thanks for all of the SDCC2015 coverage! Keep up the good work!

Yeah. The knee pads and attire choice are pretty puzzling. He won't go with the nWo guys that we already have and who knows when we'll get the red/black attire he wore during the prime time of the nWo

If Mattel will release a Bash at the Beach '96 Hall down the line, then it's perfectly understandable to release a black/white Hall, and I am glad they did so. But even still, if at all possible, they have to fix the knee pads. It ruins the figure for me.

All I care about is the headscan, I'm so sick of "goofy smile" Hall figures - we need a serious or snarling Hall.
I'm sure it's too late for this figure, but I hope for the next Hall (red drips would be my pick) we can get a new headscan.
A 3-pack with Hall (red drips, new headscan), Nash (black attire with red tassles) and manager style Dusty Rhodes (Outsiders shirt, red jacket) in a year or so would be too sweet.

I'd prefer they leave it the hell alone and release it like this.
He's in the hall of fame and they're not done with Hall figures.
The red will come. This is one of his best looks and he was an excellent heel to rival Nash in this form until he started showing up drunk. I for one glad they chose it.

I feel like they made a half assed NWO Scott Hall. This figure feels rushed. But I still preordered it.

Don't worry. I see a nWo themed Target elite 4 pack coming from this. Wolfpack Sting (repaint, no cloth coat) Nash ( repaint no belt) Scott Hall ( repaint, black/Red) Luger ( black trunks, white boots)
All with cloth Wolfpack nWo shirts!

Give Hall a new scan (snarling/serious) and Luger a serious/snarling scan with ponytail, and I'd buy it. Actually for wolfpac sting I'd probably go with smirking scan and ponytail, would work better with his wolfpac attitude than the current head.

I'm just happy WCW is making more of an appearance in these lines. Now if we could get some Steiners, Harlem Heat, Jericho, and Goldberg.

I assumed they made the Scott Hall black and white so that it could go together well with the black and white NWO Hogan.

I don't mind the white and black, in fact I prefer this over the red and black. I'm just happy we got Razor and are now getting Hall. I didn't think we would get figures of him.
