Figure since I saw the hoagie thread this might be worth it.
When it comes to ribs and chicken wings what do you prefer? Do you prefer a dry rub seasoning on your wings and/or ribs or do you like them saucy?
I'm a sucker for dry rub ribs. Asian spice or Memphis dry rub for the win. It sucks because unless you go to a fancy steakhouse anymore you can't really find dry ribs. Every chain place around me anyways only sells regular BBQ ribs. Hence why I make my own, they're to die for.
As for wings, the saucier the better. The best non-home made sauce to me is one called Arizona Ranch that Quaker Steak sells, I could eat anything in that. Though last night I got wings from Pizza Hut and I still love their Sriracha sauce (first tried it with the Dipper but it's glorious on wings). But with wings nothing beats homemade with Frank's Red Hot mixed with butter.
So what about you?

All kinda matters...
The rib place we eat. Brown sugar dry rub.. but once st the table I mix their Kansas City and Carolina sauces on them.so I get the brown sugar crust, then a sweet and tangy with a vinegar sauce.
Wings
Usually bw3s for that.. Love their spicy garlic, mango habeñero and jammin jalapeño sauces. Usually get the wings with extra sauce. But I love the salt and vinegar dry rub there too.
I'll also hit up mark pi for their gang pang wings. Tastes like generals chicken, but I get them extra spicy.

I like saucy.
There is a local BBQ place that makes a habanero BBQ sauce which is fantastic.

Mother of God, Cool Ranch dry rub on fries is amazing. I've had Cajun dry rub on some wings before and was not a fan. However, if you have a Wingzone near by, you HAVE to get their dry rub Cool Ranch wedge fries.
But other than that, sauce all the way.

This photo doesn't do justice. The ranch dry rub is a definite foodgasm.

I love dry ribs. I've never been one for sauces, particularly on beef since I think it either hides or kills the flavour of the meat. On wings though, I prefer the sauce to be a bit lighter or at least cooked in enough that it's not a soggy mess.

I use a dry rub on all of my meats. I have a smoker, so I cook a lot with it. I make most of my owns rubs. Sometimes I will put a little bit of sauce on the plate to dip into.

Saucy with one of the hottest sauces available. You tried that Carolina pepper sauce? I've heard it's a killer.

In general saucy for wings, but ribs can go either way.. when it's done right, dry on ribs is probably the better.

I've never had a dry rub before. Any recommendations on where to start? Depends on your palate frankly. As I said I really like Asian spices, but that gives whatever I eat a nice kick. If you're more into sweet, then a Memphis rub would be the way to go.
