Roman Reigns has been getting better on the mic, and this is the only way to do it. You can't improve if they take the mic away from you. Failing is part of the learning process. Roman has no problems talking. He has shown that he's a good spokesman/PR for WWE. He just hasn't found his footing on the mic yet and I believe a heel turn could help that cause. Turn him heel and let him go out there unscripted only with bullet points. Steve ing Austin has said numerous times that there's money in Roman Reigns heel. I would completely disagree with that sentiment. He came off forced, fake, and unlikable in the segment last week, especially juxtaposed with John Cena. In public interviews, he sticks his foot in his mouth more often than not. He usually comes off as an entitled jerk who can't possibly understand why people dislike him. He's incredibly condescending in tone and gives off the vibe that he doesn't give a crap how he's handled, so long as he's making that monaaaaaay. That may be true, but it's not something you echo in public, especially when you're being groomed to be the next top babyface. It does, however, make for a fantastic heel. In that respect, we agree. He did come out "looking bad" to some people of a set of interviews right after the Royal Rubmle disaster. But like I said already, failing and making mistakes is part of the learning process. He has been doing just fine in interviews and PR stuff ever since.

He sounded so scripted and forced and it was clear that he got annoyed with the what chant. I've seen very little improvement in his promo work, atleast he isn't as bad as Ryback.

"I'd hold up that match [vs. Brock Lesnar] against any in the history of wrestling." And from a Brian Fritz interview around the same time: (these are direct quotes) "Someone my age, we didn’t go through the Internet like how it is now. When I was a kid, I was outside sweating and running around. Me and the Uso’s were tearing up the yard or doing yard work for that matter. We didn’t have all these video games and these social media outlets." "When you deal with an Internet situation where all these people are attacking you for no real reason at all. You’re just going out there trying to entertain them, trying to give them something to get outside of their life, to get outside their reality and suspend belief for them. And then for them to attack you for no real reason. It’s not like I was trying to hurt anybody. I was just trying to do my thing, make my art the way I want it and have a good time and hopefully it reflects that." "Just like anything else, any other form of bullying that the world’s dealt with, we’re going to get past it. Strong people are strong for a reason — they can hold that weight. God gave me broad shoulders because I can carry that load." "Anybody that says I haven't progressed and gotten 1000% better, you’re lying. You’re a bold faced liar." Arrogance? Check. Condescending toward the fans? Check. Lacking self-awareness? Check. Borderline comical hyperbole? Check. The dude made himself out to be a victim of bullying by the big bad WWE Universe. He managed to do this all in one interview. So yes, it's still bad. If anything, it's gotten worse. I just don't see how this, in any way, could be construed as improvement or good PR. Again, great fodder for a heel, though.

The guy could put someone who is hopped up on 20 cups of coffee asleep with his promo work. Thats the thing with Cena that makes him "the best", He is a natural on the mic, Even back when he debuted, He showed it. He has energy, Passion and confidence in his promos. Reigns speaks so low and monotone and just doesn't seem to get it. I cant buy this guy into a "top babyface" roll when he comes off as an arrogant unlikable douche bag.
That promo was by far the most cringeworthy promo i've seen in a long time. He made a complete fool out of himself.

The "stronger" quote is the last one but then again he's only telling the truth and I don't think there's a better way to say it. Kevin Owens recently made a similar comment in response to the "John Cena can't wrestle" stuff.

Kevin Owens recently made a similar comment in response to the "John Cena can't wrestle" stuff. There's nothing wrong with (while representing your company as a major babyface) accusing your target audience of bullying you, a grown man? Not to mention, doing so while being involved in an anti-bullying campaign for the company? We're going to have to agree to disagree there. There's plenty wrong with the last statement, too, because, unlike Owens' comments regarding Cena, for which there are no valid counter arguments, one can make a pretty strong case that Roman has not only failed to improve since January, but quite possibly regressed, particularly in the way of promos. Look, I'm not here to down Roman Reigns as a money-maker in the future, but I think he's an absolute disaster and abject failure as a babyface, and a miserable guy to send out to do interviews and to represent the company, and I'm very far from the only one who feels that way. If you read those quotes in Roman's traditional "speaking down to an eight year old" cadence, though, you've got brilliant heel material. Evidently, we have very different definitions of the marketable traits Roman Reigns possesses. To each his own.

I gotta be honest, the promo was OK. It wasn't good, but it wasn't awful. I liked that line when they started chanting "WHAT?". Also sounded like he tried to not pause during his promo so that the crowd couldn't chant it. I believe that Roman Reigns's promos should be no more than 2-3 minutes long, make it short, sweet and to the point. We didn't need a five month recap of what happened.

"It's all water under the Bridge" so if thats the case. What is the point of this feud? "This is not Boring, this is Real Life" What was the point of him making such a stupid comment? If Mr. Out Of Touch needs to make a RAW in Chicago then why the hell does he nees to Write/Approve such a horrible Promo for a bad talker like Reigns.?

It was awful and very amateur sounding. He sounds uncertain almost when he talks.

The crowd was lost the second they decided to spend 75% of the promo recapping the feud with Wyatt. Yeah we've all been watching the show these past couple of months... we know everything that's happened. No need to bore us with a history lecture. And I love history.

I'm a Roman fan and I have to say it was certainly a boring promo, but the majority of this fued has no purpose so to find reasoning behind it was confusing. They don't need Reigns to cut lengthy promos but have him be a badass and a man of few words. A minute of him talking would be fine, but let him he an antihero/lonewolf.

It was truly awful. His voice was shaky, he flubbed words and legit looked scared. He doesn't have "it."

Can your dad beat up my dad too? No, but I can, smart ass. And so can Roman Reigns. Lol Good gosh, Mister. You sure do seem like a tough guy with tough opinions and a defiant attitude about them. I hope I never come across you on the streets. You might "opinion" me.
