I'm kind of going through an Off Season right now, but that'll end once I tackle a few of these pre-orders. There's also a LOT of other figures that I missed out on and have to get down the line, so my wallet's going to take a beating soon enough.

See I ask because I'm about caught up with the flashbacks I want (I could do without RSC CM Punk or Lesnar for instance) with the exception of some Legends and RSCs, as well as what's coming up soon. Aside from that, I have most of what I want. I have a few current stars (And I even use my DM Cena as a current Cena) but FBs are what I deal with most.

It all comes down to Who Mattel decides to release in a wave.
I always pass on Cena, Bryan, Seth, Roman, Dean, Bray, Sheamus, Bigshow, and Divas. And it seems like Mattel will release 2 to 4 of those mentioned above in every wave. Elite series 39 was a breath of Fresh air because non of the ones mentioned above were in that set. But then series 40 came along and BAM! ANOTHER John Cena in what would have been a great set.

Once I build up my fed's roster for my first season of shows, I'm done. Until I play out everything I've written (10 ppvs and all shows in between), no figures for me. I did this to have some self control, both for my wallet and creatively. I don't want to be half way through my fed's year then get excited over a debut Dana Brooke figure and force her into story lines lol.
When I'm done playing with the ones I bought, I'll take in consideration new releases and write the next season. When that's done, I'll make a list of new additions and buy those.
Only exceptions I make are legends I want for pure display.
This is an expensive hobby. I only want a figure I'm going to use.

Well I have taken off seasons before because I got bored with wrestling. I stopped collecting and watching the product from summer 2014-March 2015. I started watching and collecting again in March 2015, and then stopped watching and collecting in May 2015. I started collecting and watching again this past October haven't stopped since.

My off season is comparable to the nfl.
I only buy one of each character that i like, aside from punk, austin, bryan, warrior and savage.
No need for figures of wrestlers i never liked

Last time I had a huge break is when I was bored of wrestling for a time, basically throughout high school, and got back into it mid 2014, but didn't collect figures again until early 2015. Keep in mind when I last collected, it was during the Jakks days, and I still have a lot of my Classic Superstars from that era (Tito Santana, Mr. Perfect, Brutus Beefcake, Mean Gene, Ultimate Warrior and Eddie Guerrero I have MOC, Honky Tonk Man)

My only off season is if I get ahead of retail. Like currently I got the figures I want from Elite 39 and 40 at Christmas. I'm caught up except for HOF 3 and Basic Xavier Woods. So I guess other than if I stumble across them, I'm in a kind of a off season. ...... ...... But....I'm wanting an extra Sid and Bulldog from Elite 39 when I find them at retail, and I'm always browsing ebay for figures.
So no, there is no off season. Just sometimes the hunt is a little calmer than others.

I've had an off season for the past five or so years. Now I've finally got money coming in I'm slowly getting the releases I've been after for years.

I don't have a regular enough spending habits for there to really be an off season for me. I never stop checking but if there's nothing out that interests me I won't buy until there is. I do need to reign it back to only buying the ones I'm really direly wanting and not just "Ah this would be a neat addition"

Not really.
I usually take the Chinese New Year time to catch up on some earlier stuff I missed out on since I only started collecting around 4th of July 2014.

I collect a few different lines, so I tend to cycle between them. This past summer and fall, I was all about anime and Figmas. Now I'm back to WWE and getting caught up on what I missed. In a couple of months, the 2016 Marvel Legends will hit, and I'll probably gravitate towards that. I know a lot of collectors are really into Star Wars now, but I sold off my Hasbro Black Series in favor of S.H. Figuarts, so the new releases will just trickle out during the year.

Not really, if retail is between sets and there's nothing I want then I will scour ebay/classifieds to try and fill holes in my collection
