Last year starting at the beginning of January all the way through till mid-April I didn't really love any of the product. (E34 doink, wm elites Kane and undertaker, Dm razor) That's the closest thing to an off season I can think of since I've been collecting.

Whenever there is a lull in figures I want.
Happens quite often.

My "off season" is the time it takes between me completing a set, and the next set coming out

I was second in line to that E6 Hardy

I think I'm in the midst of one now.....
I mostly stopped buying figures in May, there just has been very little that I want/need.... I've bought a few here & there (Charlotte, Seth Rollins TRU Exclusive) but just nothing to get me really excited. I've hardly even been hunting. Just checking stores when I'm there - and finding nothing I want.
And, TBH, there's not a whole lot coming up that I'm that interested in, either.... I'm definitely on the prowl for the new HOF stuff (including the Heenan set) but I checked several Targets during the holidays & didn't find squat.
I do seem to have missed E38 in my area - I really want Macho Man & maybe APA but I haven't seen them, & I'm now seeing E39. Picked up Sid & had already gotten Sting from Ringside...... might pick up Bulldog if I find him for a decent price. But not that choked up about it either way....

I'm in an off season myself. I haven't bought anything new in a little over a month and I sold a ton off.
Now, that isn't to say I'm not collecting, far from it. I'm buying the crapnout of marvel legends. I just grew bored of the WWE figures. Also haven't watched the programs in about five months. I couldn't sit still through it anymore.
I may lift my temporary moratorium if I see the HOF Heenan Family set, as I have wanted those forever. Also, if Ryback has a new torso like they promised and it looks good, then hell yeah.

I had a off season from about February last year until October... First time I've lost interest, it wasn't intentional just missed out on a few exclusives etc and lost the passion & other stuff preoccupied me...
Come back into the fold in October and start scrambling to get the figs I missed out on. -.-

After 30+ years as a wrestling fan, I have had a ton of off-seasons. It is funny, because even when I don't watch wrestling, I always keep up w/ it via podcasts or websites. This helps me figure out when the product is getting hot again.
As far as collecting, I had a huge off-season for years. I picked up a few here and there. Several black and white Superstar Billy Grahams since I just thought that figure looked so cool and a Bruno when he got announced for HOF.
That damn G***s **y Show on YouTube somehow popped up in my recommended videos, and from there I got very interested again. The quality of some of these new figures is crazy. I have a feeling I am about to hit an on-season that will see me obsessed for a few months as I purge some of the old "quantity" and make a move toward "quality" in my collection.

I went from the end of July to mid September without buying. Then took another month break. Have gotten back into it much more lately but the second half of 2015 is when I really cut back

I don't buy in the spring or fall because work slows down. I work in a vacation town so the winter/summer are really busy and I'm able to pick up what I want then.

Took around 10 months off. Luckily I found a lot on ebay, with basically everything I missed (I only collect Divas btw)

During elite 36-39 which should technically be 6 months, I only got 2 figures. I usually average 3-4 per elite set. Now that 40 has hit, I already got 4. May get Cena when if I see it at retail.

If I took a break from collecting for even a few months then I'd just have to go back and buy all the figures I wanted but missed in the meantime. Lol.

I've been "off-season" for years now, I have to force myself to buy stuff because I'm not interested in most of the stuff on shelves today haha.
Recently I decided to make some luchador customs because they always have cool outfits, so I've been looking for cheap elites to buy.

At the moment I seem to be buying everything. At least three figures every elite series. I went through a few series of only buying one. I skipped E35 completely and didn't buy much around then. But then I went back and bought E35 Earthquake. I just can't resist
