Hey WFigs, I'm on a big nostalgia trip at the moment - has anyone got images of actual toy stores from the 90s with Hasbro or Galoob figures on the shelves? A lot of Gi Joe, Star Wars and He-Man sites have some excellent images of toy aisles etc showing them all on the pegs. Check these out:

Ah, if I knew then what we know now. and I wasn't 6 years old...
Cool pics! I like seeing that stuff as well. Great memories of running to the toy aisles whole on the hunt!

Awesome throwback pics. Takes me back to my childhood and the feeling of anticipation I got walking to the GI Joe section. If only cell phone cameras existed back then, more of these types of pictures would show up.

I have to imagine these are few and far between just for the notion of bringing a bulky camera into a store to take photos of the toys being unpractical. Even less likely to see them since they'd have to be scanned into a computer and not just rotting away in someone's closet as prints.
It's too bad, because shots like this are super cool to see. It'd be neat to see all the Power Ranger stuff that used to fill the shelves, too. I'd LOVE to see photos of my memory of TRU having an entire longgggg aisle dedicated to nothing but WWF, ECW and WCW wrestling toys.

All I can really remember is the Jakks stuff. The figures of Test, Chyna, etc all in street gear. Test was so ugly. This damn thing was everywhere in 2000. Sucked because I wanted the Bad Ass figure so bad.

I would love to see pics of Hasbros on the shelves. But won't hold my breath unfortunately.

OK, I appreciate these aren't wrestling related but until I can source some WWF/WCW related stuff, here's some Star Wars:

There are some pretty good interior shots of an early '90s Toys R Us in the movie Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, and you can see inside a mid-'80s Children's Palace/Child World store in the Color of Money.
Also, try looking up commercials for things like the Nickelodedon Super Toy Run, and old news reports on YouTube about big stories like Nintendo, Tickle Me Elmo, Cabbage Patch Dolls, etc., and you will get some glimpses of the insides of toy stores.
I would love to find some good pictures of '80s and '90s toy stores that aren't Star Wars, too. I like Star Wars just fine, but that's the only pictures you ever come across.
