I currently haven't been a huge fan of anybody right now and I realize it's because WWE has got lazy with making new guys for me to invest in. One of the main reasons why I loved TNA so much back then was because of the young wrestlers that TNA invested in. For example Chris Sabin was only 23 years old when he was in TNA in 07 and he was one of my favorite wrestlers at the time. Most of the guys in TNA have turn out to be huge stars and successful later on. I look at WWE now and they don't have any guys like that besides Seth Rollins and their guy Roman Reigns, but is that it? Sure WWE got AJ Styles but he's the same age as John Cena. How long will he be in the WWE before he retires?
-Adam Rose- 36 -AJ Styles- 38 -Alberto Del Rio- 38 -Alex Riley- 34 -Big E- 29 -Big Show- 43 -Bo Dallas- 25 -Braun Strowman- 32 -Bray Wyatt- 28 -Brock Lesnar- 38 -Bubba Ray Dudley- 44 -Cesaro- 35 -Chris Jericho- 45 -Curtis Axel- 36 -D-Von Dudley- 43 -Damien Sandow- 33 -Daniel Bryan- 34 -Darren Young- 32 -Dean Ambrose- 30 -Diego- 33 -Dolph Ziggler- 35 -Erick Rowan- 34 -Fandango- 34 -Fernando- 33 -Goldust- 46 -Health Slater- 32 -Jack Swagger- 33 -Jey Uso- 30 -Jimmy Uso- 30 -John Cena- 38 -Kalisto- 29 -Kane- 48 -Kevin Owens- 31 -King Barrett- 35 -Kofi Kingston- 34 -Konnor- 36 -Luke Harper- 36 -Mark Henry- 44 -The Miz- 35 -Neville- 29 -R-Truth- 44 -Randy Orton- 35 -Roman Reigns- 30 -Rusev- 30 -Ryback- 34 -Seth Rollins- 29 -Sheamus- 38 -Sin Cara- 38 -Stardust- 30 -Titus O'Neil- 38 -Triple H- 46 -Tyler Breeze- 28 -Tyson Kidd- 35 -Viktor- 35 -Xavier Woods- 29 -Zack Ryder-30
The youngest guy in the roster is Bo Dallas.

You would think WWE would start signing 18 year olds, training them and putting them on the main roster after a few years. That way you have a roster full of mid 20 year olds instead of mid 30s.

The WWE had a bunch of young guys back in 2000 and 2001 and then a few years later decided to settle on that John Cena and Randy Orton were the two stars that would be pushed and would be for the next 15 years.

These threads are very irritating.

Thanks for putting this up it's nice to know the age of the superstars. I can't believe Sheamus, Del Rio, Titus and Sin Cara are nearly 40 and Rusev looks much older than 30.

If all of those ages are correct, there are more guys in their 40's on the roster than there are in their 20's. That seems to be asking for trouble.

NXT is the future and the future is now, although I dont see a John Cena or a Brock Lesnar coming up from there anytime soon.

Age isn't as much a factor today as it was in the 80s or 90s. Main reason being guys could barely walk in their mid 40s since they had been performing since they were 17. WWE is recruiting people like Reigns and Big E who started training later after other careers.
The bigger issue isn't age, it's developing what they have. Bray Wyatt for example has been on the main roster since he was 26 and they continue to misuse his talents.

"WWE needs future stars" *literally names no one from NXT* Many NXT guys are in their 30s as well (the ones on their main roster, not the Performance Center trainees).

they're working on it. once they have a body of talent for at least the next five years (which they do) then they can develop future talent (which they're trying to do...kind of)

The title of this thread should be "WWE Lacks Commitment To Push Future Stars". They have THE most talented roster they have ever had and they have no clue what to do with it. The idea of these guys in their mid to late 30s cant give you 10 years is crazy in today's wrestling world. The problem is WWE isnt concerned about securing the future. I thought they had turned a corner when Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns got insta pushes and became main event players. But I see Owens, Cesaro, Ziggler....all blowing in the wind.

You know that early to mid 30s is when most people enter their primes right? There are a good number of people on your list that would be hitting their stride.

I guess once you hit 30 you can basically be considered 100 in wrestling.

I guess once you hit 30 you can basically be considered 100 in wrestling. Legit so dumb that people think that.. Flair wrestled into his 60's and he was never "ripped" Triple H is still wrestling for gods sakes and so does Undertaker. People think being in your 30's is so old. These guys are in beyond amazing shape and are as healthy as can be. As long as they stay like that, they can wrestle however long they want

Not everyone needs to be like Renee Dupree and start in WWE when they're like 19

Not everyone needs to be like Renee Dupree and start in WWE when they're like 19 Especially considering mostly everyone that starts in WWE that young sucks.

Adam Cole is only 26. Problem solved BAYBAY!
I think the problem I have with your complaint is Seth Rollins, as an example. He came in young, worked through NXT, got a proper amount of attention and care in booking, and now, at only 29, he's become a bonified main event player with potentially 10-15 years in front of him.
I think it's relatively easy for you to find people who feel guys like Taker, HBK and Ric Flair didn't enter their prime until their late 30s or early 40s. I think you can definitely say that about AJ Styles, who spent the last 2 and a half years proving he's the most complete wrestler he's ever been. So if we only get 3-6 years of AJ, and WWE protects him into his 40s, I'm not going to complain that they're pushing him at the expense of young talent.
Bray Wyatt is still young, Reigns and Ambrose are young for where they are at on the card right now. Apollo Crews is young, especially for his skill level. Guys like Balor and Joe are obviously older but I also think those are guys who can conceivably be great in their late 30s. This is the best Joe has been since 2008 imo.
On a fundamental level, I understand what you're saying. Where are the Colby Corinos of WWE? But I think if you look at WWE as the major leagues, those guys are other places, working towards getting to WWE. So maybe they're not in WWE developmental because the most effective way to build a star in 2016 is for a guy to go build his own brand in other places.
I guess from my perspective, I would rather see guys who are older and more polished get the time and energy from WWE than some kid who is raw talent but we have to sit through WWE super pushes on him while we all complain about he sucks, at least until he doesn't suck. Guys like Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, and definitely The Rock, should be the exception, not the rule imo.
