The 90s seem so much better because people don't remember the crap from it. They just remember the nice things. People that say that now, were most likely kids during that time, so they didn't have any real responsibilities or anything. Every generation has crap. The good stuff gets remembered fondly, while the bad just gets forgotten.

Every generation thinks that their generation is the best or was the best.

No way man 70's and 80's kids had it way better because, um, well, yeah. Because they're closer to their AARP cards than us?

I was born in 88, so I had the privilege of growing up being able to revolve my life around Brett Favre, Batman the Animated Series and the Nintendo 64.

This is like saying the Attitude Era was flawless. The Attitude Era had crap worse than Hornswoggle and Khali so...
Enjoy the time you're in now. It has its goods and its bads but when you get older you'll probably only remember the good times.
The 90s had sweet shows and stuff, but think of what you've got now buddy.

You seem like one of those kids that comments on music from the 90's saying you wish people your age would listen to that music and how better you are for doing so.
I was alive for 2 years in the 90's, I crap myself and wore diapers, it was great.

I was born in '93, so I can't tell if things were just better because I was a kid or because the 90s were great.

I was born in '93, so I can't tell if things were just better because I was a kid or because the 90s were great. I only remember a few things from the 90s and 1 of the things is how good Natalie Merchant was

I was born in the '90s. It was just alright.
I would be way happier if I were born in the '70s.

The 80's was better, we had the Hogan Era, we saw the birth of Monster Trucks, we had Thriller, and we had the birth of Cable television.

Every generation has it's hits & misses. In the 60s, the music & TV shows were awesome, but there was a war in Viet Nam & there was still segregation in parts of the country. In the 70s, the music & TV shows were awesome, but there was turmoil in Iran, gas was rationed and fashion was gross. In the 80s, the economy was getting better, but it seems there was a hostage/hijacking every week. In the 90s, the music was awesome, but fashion was awful.
It all depends on what you think is important & what you can remember.

I was born in 88 so the 90s were right in the heart of my childhood. Great times with no need for money or a job. So of course for me I'm very fond of the 90s. The TV was great and I had tons of fun toys. But looking back now, the toys are so much better now and the world seems so much larger.
It's all perspective.
