With Sheik selling for $500, how much do you guys think each unreleased bendy is worth if you were to put a price on them...I'm just curious to hear what you all think. It's a shame we all missed that amazing auction. I don't know if you can necessarily assess a value of the bendies based on the Sheik figure. To me, the bendies are far more interesting, but the mainline figures are still king when it comes to collector appeal. Meaning that I'd be surprised if someone could get more than $500/each for the unreleased bendies. As someone who grew up collecting WWF LJN, both the mainline and the bendies, I personally would be content to hang on to the bendies until someone came along and really blew me away with an offer. For what the guy paid for the lot, it's not like there would be a lot of rush to cash out and move the pieces quickly.

With Sheik selling for $500, how much do you guys think each unreleased bendy is worth if you were to put a price on them...I'm just curious to hear what you all think. It's a shame we all missed that amazing auction. It's a shame we all missed out on both of the original auctions. I think everyone here has daydreamed more than a few times of stumbling upon something like this and getting an absolute steal. For me, I've thought about it more than a few times. To be more specific, Sheik went for about $510, not $500. If it went for $500 I would have won the bid . Its probably for the best, as my wife would not have been too happy. Here's my take on these (sorry, long read as always from me)- Bendies figures: AWESOME! I still can't believe you had multiple UNRELEASED prototypes in one lot, with the seller not even knowing what he/she had. 8 inch figures: Once can conclude that both lots were from the same original owner, which lends automatic credibility to the 8 inch figures seeing as though there is no debate on the legitimacy on the bendies. I actually think there were two resin/hard plastic prototypes in the lot, not just one. My theory is that the seller ended the Albano auction early to see how the Sheik auction played out. It wouldn't surprise me if it is relisted soon with a more accurate description, and maybe even a higher starting bid. But again, when I look at that figure, I see a hand painted figure, not rubber. The hand painted ones don't look as "lifelike". Ozz was correct to point out the picture on the shirt. It is lower, just like that 1986 Canadian Ad I posted a while back on here. Heenan - cool variant, could even be considered a rubber prototype in my opinion; 9 scrolls like in the Canadian Ad posted here before Hart - as already pointed out, different # of musical notes on jacket Muraco - probably just a regular figure, but I'm not sure if anyone else noticed the GLUE ON THE BOTTOM OF HIS FEET. Just like the bendie Volkoff's right foot in the above pics, sometimes for these photo shoots (and I'm guessing store displays), you would need to glue the feet to keep them standing, in order to take a picture or to keep them standing for displays. I think that is such a cool detail of this lot, and again lends credibility to these being true "Hand Samples" for some sort of advertising shoot or store display. Very, very cool in my opinion. I'm actually surprised the Sheik didn't go for more due to these details, which again should remove all doubt of legitimacy.

A couple more details I noticed... What I liked about the Sheik figure as soon as I saw it were that it looked like his head is turned more to the right than in the released figure, and you don't see that odd gap between his bicep and forearm on his right arm that you see in the released figures. On the 5-back card pics, you'll see a similar, but slightly different Sheik figure, but that one also has his head turned and has no gap in the arm. Here are some pics of the original 8 inch figure auction which show Sheik's right arm as well as what I'm guessing is glue on the Muraco figure. Still can't believe I missed this lot! This will sting for a little bit.

Well, looks like pandelis is the one that got them. He has a Funk, a Muraco, a Santana, and a BRUNO for sale on Facebook right now.

Too bad they didn't at least go to a collector that would have enjoyed them.

Well, I just messaged him on Facebook asking how much he would want for each bendy and this was his response, "No comparison point. Thinking I would start the bidding at $1000 each."

I don't think that price is completely ridiculous. Especially since there are only 1 known (1 in the case of Funk) figure of each and some of the prices of LJN figures that were actually produced can get into the hundreds.
Does he post here anymore? He says that Funk, Muraco, Santana, and Bruno are hand samples and Capt. Lou is a resin prototype.

For those of you tracking this at home.... Perrybeatle won the sheik so it looks like we will see all of these figures again. I wish they went to a collector (me) but the seller opened themselves up for this. Shiddy shiddy listing, 1 picture, wasn't willing to share information on how they were obtained. Now some of North America's finest middlemen are going to write the back stories on these figures and attach the 4 figure asking prices.

He's still as pompous as ever I see.
I don't really have an issue with "middlemen," but he and perrybeatle have shown a long history of being two of the more arrogant flippers for wrestling stuff over the years.

Looks like Terry Funk is on eBay for only $2500.

Yeah, but Funk is not a 1 of 1 figure as advertised in the auction. The one he has posted looks to be the more beat up of the two. Unless the other one doesn't have the LJN stamp on the back? Otherwise, its a 1 of 2, right?

Outside of this forum, I'm not sure there's a demand driving these figures to prices over $2,000. Having said that, if someone was willing to shell out crazy money for that Unreleased Greg Valentine figure --- I guess you never know what a collector will pay.

I seriously doubt he expects to get $2500. He put that Tugboat 1up at like 10 grand three years ago and I'm pretty sure he took maybe half of that, and that was an infinitely more interesting item, both tangibly and historically.
Even at $1000 each, that's still more than 3 grand profit after fees for minimal work. Not bad.

Yes, it is rather dishonest to state an item as "unique, 1 of 1" when he, himself owns 2 of them. If these went undiscovered for 30 years, then who's to say for sure, there might not be few others that exist.

The words in bold should be enough info... That being said: too bad the original auction was only sent within the US, it didn't even get on my radar... What's worse is that Pandelis once again had an unbelievable deal only to resell for inflated prices!
