WWE officials are interested in New Japan Pro Wrestling star Kazuchika Okada. The current IWGP Heavyweight Champion worked for TNA in 2010 and 2011. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE officials are interested in Okada because he’s tall. Okada is billed at 6-foot-3. NJPW has offered a five-year deal to Okada and he’s said he will remain loyal to the company but it’s not known yet if he accepted the deal. It’s believed NJPW would offer more money than WWE just to keep him there. WWE is expected to make several aggressive talent signings from Mexico, Japan and the UK over the next few months. There are reportedly looking at other Japanese organizations and are said to be interested in one top name from Lucha Underground and AAA. No word yet on who that wrestler is but he has never worked for a mainstream US organization and is unhappy with the creative in Lucha Underground. Discuss away, guys.

I love Okada, but wonder if WWE would utilize him the right way. Not sure if he can speak English, but he's one of those guys like Nakamura that can say alot with his facial expressions alone.

He said he'd never leave NJPW.
Stay away from NJPW, please.

Okada can stay. I like him, but keep him in NJPW.
I think the top Lucha Underground guy is Pentagon Jr. He is the most over guy there, but has yet to hold a title.

Great. I'm sure we're going to get a ton more 'I've never seen his matches, I've never heard of him, therefore he isn't important' posts incoming. Sigh. - Then we're going to get the posts after those posts defending said posters.

Does Okada even speak English? The biggest problem with Foreign wrestlers is their mic work is so bad that they cant get a connection to the fans. Okada like Nakamura are both amazing talents but if you cant get over with fans with mic work you go the route of Yoshi Tatsu

Like @monoxide23 said, Okada has already stated he would never leave NJPW. The way they blundered him in TNA supposedly had a huge effect on Okada not wanting to work in the US.

NJPW can't afford to lose Okada. They'll throw the checkbook at him.

"WWE officials are interested in Okada because he’s tall"
A sentence that sums up the WWE quite well.

I read he said he would never leave NJPW so I highly doubt he will come to WWE.

NJPW just offered Okada a 5 year contract and he's loyal. He's not going anywhere.

Okada himself has said he wants to build NJPW in the States, not work for someone else in the States. And he's never held any other IWGP Title so there's plenty for him to do without going stale.

well he's out hurt so it's kinda hard to book him Forgetting Asuka, are we? But, their booking in NXT isn't really a concern... it's when Vince gets a hold of them that you should be scared. Y'know, since there's a good chance they could become Jimmy Wang Yang v2.

Sure. I love Okada and would equally love for him to be in WWE, but New Japan really might be in his best interest. I think it depends on how Nakamura is utilized.
