Cena's no longer #1 babyface, Burger King is selling hotdogs, Donald Trump is poised to be the next President, and Ben Affleck is Batman.
What a strange, strange world we now live in.

Congratulations to Roman Reigns on delivering his first major interview without belittling a large segment of the audience or sounding like a complete and total self-entitled, clueless jackass.

Congratulations to Roman Reigns on delivering his first major interview without belittling a large segment of the audience or sounding like a complete and total self-entitled, clueless jackass. What did he say? Nothing of note at all, which is surprising, because he usually puts his foot in his mouth. It was just some corporate speak and when they asked who he'd like to defend the title against, he mentioned John Cena. It was nothing. I mostly just felt bad that he and Charlotte had to fly all the way out to New York and then back to Texas just for that interview.

My Grandma passed, David Bowie and Lemmy passed, and Gravity Falls ended.

Should of just done one from a webcam or whatever they are called.

i need to get something off my chest. i am not asking for an argument so please keep this calm. why does everyone hate Roman Reigns? i understand Vince wants him to be the next top guy but why is that so bad? i understand he only has a few moves but still, what makes it so bad that Roman is the champ now? i dont care for him but i dont hate him and get pissed when he becomes champ or anything. when he was in The Shield people loved him. now since they broke up, noone likes him.
id like to see him as a Paul Heyman Guy right now

I understand that, his attitude undoubtedly rubs me the wrong way. I don't hate the guy, though, I just think he's horribly miscast. He feels fake and contrived, and lacks critical skills in too many departments to be the top babyface in the company. He can't talk. He can't connect with the fans. He can almost never give a public interview without coming off as an entitled jackass who blames everyone but himself for his shortcomings, all while belittling large portions of the audience. There are a plethora of reports from credible individuals indicating that he doesn't give the vibe that he's open to criticism, or even willing to seek advice from major stars who have offered their time. All of that stuff adds up. It seems like the most honest thing Roman has ever done is tell Sam Roberts last year that he was "just here to do what they tell me and get rich." You can get away with that sort of thing when you're an anomaly like Brock Lesnar, but Roman is not on Brock's level in any single department. Additionally, he's exposed himself as mediocre at best in the ring, especially recently. He appears to be regressing. I have not seen a Roman Reigns match I've enjoyed in months, which is in stark contrast to his 2015, where he was matched with great opponents and having some pretty great bouts, despite failing horribly in the character department. Last night's match with Triple H was a total dud (and you can't discredit Triple H, who had good matches with both Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler in recent weeks), and the general reaction to that match and to Roman's crowning moment is indicative of the bigger picture - that Roman Reigns has been a complete and utter failure and Vince's fascination with him has been extremely detrimental to the company's progress for the last year and a half. With all that being said, Roman's look, his in-ring style, his attitude, and his general demeanor all lend themselves perfectly to being the biggest heel in the business. It's just a shame that Vince is unwilling to admit that he is very obviously wrong.

None of us are backstage or entirely privy to that stuff, but I don't think it's totally out of left field, mainly because of the way he carries himself in interviews. The way he acts, to me, paints the portrait of a guy who very easily could be complacent in his approach and perfectly content with being "good enough." There have been plenty of wrestlers who have little passion for the business itself (again, Brock Lesnar comes to mind), but they've all had traits that make them too valuable to ignore, and Roman doesn't. He's coasting, and his attitude is off-putting to many. When faced with criticism, he seems to go on the defense and blame other people instead of trying to understand why people might not like him, which, in turn, would allow him to improve and work on correcting the things he's so laughably bad at. WWE doesn't get a pass either. They've been feeding his brain with the idea that he's the chosen one for years, and he's obviously bought into that. At this point, he's got to feel like he's too big to fail. His push has gone horribly wrong, so much so that they had to postpone it a full year, the crowd has outright rejected him with a certain aura of hostility I've frankly never seen before, but despite all that, he just main evented Wrestlemania for the second year in a row, won the title for a third time, and was crowned the new face of the company. Why bother to improve?

Why bother to improve? i completely understand what you are saying and i actually agree with you on that. i hate it when wrestlers say things like "im only doing it for the money" like Scott Steiner (or atleast thats what i was told). what about the Royal Rumble incident with him? he was suppose to retain the championship but got attacked and went backstage. Triple H said " your not retaining the title, a new person will be champion til Mania and that will be me" because the crowd was booing so bad at Reigns. i really do feel bad for him but after learning about this i cant really feel bad about him anymore. if he doesnt want to approve then let it be, he'll just get booed. your right though, why improve if your the champ and the top guy right now anyway?

If only Reigns turns heel, creates a group with The Usos and Samoa Joe and they run roughshod over everyone.....
