Crap! I've got an IRS in the mail and I was going to swap out the legs too. :/ swapping out a BAF Cole legs at the knees for IRS will work in a pinch for sure, but to me it looks weird, like the knee joint needs to be higher. Hence why they have long pants mold (Johnny L./Rock/Booker/Trips) and short pants mold (Cole/JR) Can you swap them out at the hip joint like with some of the newer Mattel figures?

That I don't know - it's not a traditional ball joint there. It's a series of interlocking discs for a lack of a better way to describe it. Never deconstructed elite pants. EDIT: Here's a question though, if I were to crack an IRS torso, will the waist stem of a BAF Cole legs fit into his torso? I'm not sure because one's designed as a BAF and the other is designed for a regular intact body (probably with thicker waist stem). That's probably the easiest way to get him on shorter legs...and look proportional.

Seems like the best solution for the easiest fix is to do it at the knees with BAF Cole legs. . PJ is it hard to get the pegs back in once you disassemble the knees? Any advice on how to make this go smoothly? It was a pain to switch out knees and calves on Mr. Perfect, so I'd imagine the thicker pants would be more difficult.

Not hard at all. Just heat the knee so it is soft. Pup one side of the thigh of the peg. Then the other or just take it off with the peg still in the other side. Then put the new knee in the thigh and push the pin back through. Just reheat the thigh if you are having trouble pushing the pin through. Also you can use a pair of needle-nose pliers to push it through if needed.

Hence why they have long pants mold (Johnny L./Rock/Booker) and short pants mold (Cole/JR/Jimmy Hart/Bobby Heenan)- the knee-heights are propotionate to each. So I had the brilliant idea of swapping Cole legs from the upper thigh swivel joint - cept the sculpts don't line up, there's noticeable over-hang. I think with the double knees it works, because the top PoA seems about the right spot for the knee to bend. But then again I never use the lower knee bend (or elbow for ML) because bending them at the lower point always looks odd to me.

The lower Cole legs fit on the longer irs thighs but it's not a perfect fit. It's good enough for me though. Curious about bandys question re: Suit torsos also Could use an irs torso for Paul bearer with a fat jacket over it

IRS is the same height as E40 Rude who was also listed as 6'3. And he's slightly taller than HOF3 Macho. I haven't opened my HOF M$M yet. I have an extra set of Bearer legs if I need to shorten IRS, but I think that would make him too short, almost the size of HOF3 Hart.

No the suit pants mold has the same design as their DC Universs Classics.

M$Ms a little too small... IRS is way too big...
Only option you have is the IRS Richardo lower leg swap. I had to destroy a Richardo to do it and buy the basic for a slightly inflated price.

It is the IRS that is the issue. He is too tall. I've not done it yet, but I plan on swapping the IRS lower legs with an extra pair of the BaF black pants legs. PJ and Chewdeezy are right. Its IRS that is too tall. Just swap the knees & lower legs from a BAF with IRS and it will take him to the proper height. Not a great pic but its the only one I have handy. I did the swap when the figure came out. No. IRS is the proper height. Here is a pic from another thread that proves that it is DiBiase who is too short. Looks like he needs longer calves.

That is about right Hart was build at 6'. Savage was build at 6'2" and DiBiase at 6'3". So they should all be around the same height. And IRS was also billed at 6'3" so he should be in that range also. Of course Hart and Savage look taller because of the poofy hair on Hart and the crown on Savage.
Mattel scale has never been a perfect scale, but rather an "about" scale with their parts. Meaning there's ranges that many fit in. 5'6" and shorter 5'7"- 5'11" 6'- 6'3" 6'4"- 6'6" 6'7"- 6'10" 7'- and up

Stand the HOF DiBiase beside the HOF Flair. They're the same size. Flair is listed at 6'1'' and DiBiase is listed at 6'3'' there is absolutely no way to get DiBiase to be like 2 micro millimeters taller then Flair. Now, Stand IRS beside DM Hulk Hogan. Hogan is listed at 6'7'' and IRS is listed at 6'3''....yet IRS is as tall or taller than Hogan. Thus, IRS is too tall.
