I'm hoping for different creative teams. I believe Triple H and friends have been 100% in charge of Smackdown for a while now. It's honestly been consistently really good for about 6 months now. Yeah, I remember Road Dogg running SD! and Vince just let him run it. I wouldn't be surprised if Hunter and Road Dogg work together.

World Heavyweight = RAW/SmackDown Womens = RAW/SmackDown Tag Team = RAW/SmackDown Intercontinental = SmackDown United States = RAW A cross branded Champion only appears on a brand if their current challenger is on that brand, World Heavyweight feud on RAW, Intercontinental feud takes main focus of SmackDown, and United States takes main focus on RAW when World Heavyweight feud is on SmackDown. I can get behind that. However, they could bring back the WHC, get more guys over and get some fresh title reigns. Then in a few years they can run another big program to unify the titles I just want the big gold back That belt is a beauty.

It's prestigious enough considering the guys who've held it, imo.

But what would the name be? Would they have a WWE World Heavyweight Title and an unnamed World Heavyweight Title?

Pretty disappointed. WWE has every opportunity to create two singularly identifiable brands under their umbrella each and every week and they don't do it. What's that old adage about sh*t in a new wrapper still being sh*t?
Going live is good. Going live on Tuesday night makes it sit right on top of Raw though. Meaning I may or may not be finished watching Raw by the time Smackdown starts. Is WWE, other than PPVs, really live viewing for that many of you? It's definitely not for me. I actually wouldn't still watch Raw if I had to watch it live every single week. I would have liked to see them go live on Thursday to space out the week more, personally.
As for the roster split, Smackdown is going to be treated like the stepchild. It always has been. If they bring the WHC back, which I don't want to see happen, then it'll be a "B" Title again.
The only thing I really like about this situation is that I think NXT is flooded with guys who are ready to come up to WWE TV. So if this means getting any or all of Balor, Joe, Nakamura, Aries and Roode on one of Smackdown or Raw, I'll take it. From a semantics point though, the brand split has been historically bad and I was glad when WWE closed it down. Now it's back, with a fresh coat of paint, and I'm supposed to be excited? Nah. I do think the draft, like the actual draft, will be a fun show. So I'll sign up for that gimmick. Hopefully Shane takes Raven at 14.
They've been laying the groundwork for this since the day after Mania. It's not a surprise. That doesn't make it any better of an idea imo. My hope is that Rollins wins the title, they put Cena on Smackdown with the US Title and we get to see Rollins float back-and-fourth between the brands. I do have to wonder though, even with one champion, wouldn't we still need two MITB cases? So one for each brand? I guess we'll see.

I'm pumped for this. All they need to do is bring up Balor, Joe and Nakamura, and this will be cake.

Who is going to go through the 2016 figure packages and see who is on Smackdown & Raw?

Knowing WWE, they'll just call it the WWE title again and then have the WHC Maybe have a Raw champion and a Smackdown champion? Have the raw title background as red and the Smackdown as blue? I dunno lol but I just know I want the big gold back. The big one, like you said

Glorious scenes. With the current roster this can only be a good thing.

I really like this! If they call up a bunch of NXT guys, this can be a very good time!

I'm not sure how I feel about this...
On one hand, with both shows airing on USA, everyone is guaranteed to see both programs. We may get more focus on misused talent. And each show may have a unique feel to them like they did when the brand split initially started. And I do love the Draft aspect of it. Always was one of my favorite shows each year.
But on the other, that means thinner rosters, which means more rematches each week, and that leads to a very boring repetitive show.

I don't have confidence in their efforts to pull this off. A three hour Raw with half of the roster? Cutting the roster in half also means possible more rematches than we already get? Still, I hope they do make it work because when handled right, the brand split was fun. When it wasn't, it was dreadful. Exactly, this can end well or really bad. They have to actually try building other people and start showing more than the same group of people every show. Hopefully, the Big Gold will make its return as well as the Cruiseweight NOT returning.

i swear to god this is all because they want Reigns to be the star.
so get the guys people really love off RAW so that can be the Roman Reigns show. and "if you like these wrestling guys, go watch Smackdown"
there is so much potential here. because obviously we are gonna have Shane running RAW and prob Steph running Smackdown. I feel like Vince will do this as a way to "see who is better". I'm interested to see how they handle championships though.
This sucks even more that Cody, Sandow, Barrett are all gone. Those guys could have been huge with separate rosters

I know it's more convenient for scheduling and that's OK...but I don't like the idea of Smackdown live on Tuesday.
We already get 3 hours live RAW Monday.Having a couple day break until more Wrestling is always better. Then you get the PPV weeks where the build is ending on Tuesday night, and the following week its 3 nights of live wrestling in a row.
Even 1 more day (to Wednesday) would be better than having it right after RAW.

Doesn't TNA air on Tuesdays? With DVRs, OnDemand and the Internet, does head-to-head competition even matter anymore?

Not too excited about this. We all know that Raw is Vince's baby. It will always be the main show...so why bother? Also...I hate it when there are two heavyweight champions. If they keep one champ I'll be a little better with it,however that scenario will be harder to book. We'll see. Smackdown was my favorite Brand from 2002-early 2004.
