For those saying it's not possible that Vince can be sour on Reigns just because they invested so much on him is wrong. Just look at Del Rio, they invested much more in him than Reigns and he ended up getting depushed.

I expect him to stay near the top, but I will be happy if they just turn him heel. Seems like he'd be a natural at it.

Doubt it. Reigns is Vince and Vince's love child. No chance will he not return to a massive push. Expect him to either win back the title or be pushed as face of either brand. God save us

Just look at Del Rio, they invested much more in him than Reigns Yeah, more than Luther Reigns. But this thread is about Roman Reigns.

I wouldn't be too shocked if Roman comes back at the PPV, wins the WWE Title, and gets booed out of the building, and Vince can't figure out why?! It's like you can see into the future or something! I'd be tempted to give 1-1 odds that this is exactly what will happen.

Reigns needs to be a top heel.
The hated Reigns vs the popular Ambrose would make a great feud.

I really really hope so. I still believe Reigns should be taken out of the main event of BattleGround, it makes no sense for him to be in there now.

I Just Don't See The Point Of Roman ? He's Not As Popular As Ambrose So Keep Ambrose As Top Babyface, We Don't Need 2 'Polarising' Some Cheer Some Boo Characters, We Have Cena lol Its Like He's Just There, Waiting For The Boos To Stop So He Can Then Carry On His Path But The Boos Aint Stopping, So Why Not Just Turn Him? I Don't Get It, Its Nothing Like Cena, They Don't Need Roman As A Face, It Does Nothing For The Company & I Cant Imagine Turning Him Heel Would Lose Anything For The Company ? If Anything They Might Make Money Of 'Angry Roman' lol
Vince Is A Genius But Persisting With Reigns This Way Will Not Work, Its Gone To Far... Unless Reigns Saves 100 Kittens From A Burning Building Why Would Anyone Start To Cheer For Him Now ? Turning Him Heel Is The Only Option For Him To Carry On In The Main Event.

Just look at Del Rio, they invested much more in him than Reigns and he ended up getting depushed. Going back further, Lex Luger, Vince's hand chosen successor who they threw millions into. It's rare, but Vince has pulled back on his awful decisions in the past

Remember when Vince pushed Luger and Nash? He's obviously aware he's gotten it wrong before.

I do believe that quote. However, I don't think they're going to stop putting their foot on the gas with Reigns. If that were the case he wouldn't be in the main event of Battleground. Rollins and AJ are just common sense. It's going to be AJ and Cena on Smackdown and Reigns and Rollins on Raw. I just think all of this opens the door for a Reigns heel turn where Reigns can take on the Batista role. Reigns has always been a Batista and not Cena. I just think this situation allows WWE to finally settle on that idea for the first time.

I'd be happy with Reigns moving into the Intercontinental or United States title picture for a year or so, really build him up as a face or heel without taking the main spot where most fans dislike it. Plus someone like him going after either or those would give some value to the title hunt.

Roman Reigns has been a failure, and it's WWE's fault. They put him in a position that he was not ready for.
WWE clearly does not understand the formula that has worked for creating stars for years and years and years. You start out as a tag team. Eventually, the team splits and the stronger member goes on to have a great workhorse run as the IC Champion. After earning the respect of your peers and the fans, then you are elevated into the World Title picture.
The key here is the IC title run. That is what makes or breaks you. But WWE decided to hotshot Roman Reigns into being the WWE Champion, despite having never held a secondry singles title, or really having any significant singles fueds. They gave the fans no reason to care about Roman Reigns or get emotionally invested in the Roman Reigns character. They tried the very played out "underdog against authority" story, which is so transparent because he's been HANDED everything his entire career.
The bottom line, if they EVER want to have any chance at Roman Reigns being what they envisioned him as.....he's gotta get back in the trenches. He's going to have to have blockbuster matches with guys like Owens, Cesaro, Zayn, more with AJ Styles that aren't just kicking out of finisher-fests, and he's going to have to change the fans minds that he's not just being fed to us....
This is a process that takes years.

This is a process that takes years. Trenches stuff won't work, it's too late people won't buy it. He can have good matches against Cesaro, Zayn and Owens but if he beats any of them, more hate, More boos. Only way he earns respect of me is turning heel. I'm a Roman hater, I will never cheer a man than gets as much hate as he does and does nothing about it. I just don't understand the fear in turning him, the rock is the perfect comparison, turning him when he got 'rocky sucks' hate worked perfect and look at him now. Reigns as a face brings nothing to the company that Cena can't cover... Turn him into a cocky monster heel and I'll buy a t shirt. And then a year later when Ambrose and Rollins are outnumbered and NEED reigns to help them and reunite the shield, ill be cheering for that
