The worst job I ever had was working for the Co-Op. I spent four miserable years working for them, three years in one store and one in another. They are an awful company to work for, and the way management treated us was disgusting. In the end, I had enough and walked out. I now work for Marks & Spencer - and my God, what an AMAZING company to work for. Is it true that you get lots of perks while working for Marks and Spencers? Oh yeah. LOTS of perks involved with the job. It really is a fantastic place to work.

When i was 15-17 i dug graves at a cemetary. So depressing and the summer sucked. Close runner up.. Manager of a coffee shop in a casino. People were awful and the atmosphere was sad as Ok, you win...

I've only worked at 4 different places in 14 years. The worst wasn't horrible, but it was a photography studio that only cared about sales numbers. Unfortunately, creativity wasn't encouraged. From thanksgiving to Christmas, I worked no less than 55 hours a week. There was nothing worse than a studio packed with people (exceeding the fire code) with tons of screaming children & pissed off parents.

I've had two jobs between the past 4 years. One was a telemarketer and lemme tell ya, nothing get WORSE THAN THAT. Imagine placing something around 400 calls a day to Texas and California asking about electricity providers. I quit that job in two weeks that. I then was a delivery boy at a pizzeria. It was alright until this one guy started picking on me, this dude would make everything impossible for me. He would try and make me do extra jobs I didn't need to do. On one occasion he accused me of stealing $10 off a delivery and on another he gave me the wrong apt number during closing time. Just imagine having your boss wait for you while the restaurant is closed. Another one I did for a day was at a factory, that was pure hell man. The people there work like slaves in the assembly line. I remember getting dazed with the rapid movement of things and being treated like crap by the manager. After all these experiences I decided to go back to college and get my crap together. As of right now I'm unemployed but I'm working on paintings and freelancing as a graphic designer while I finish my last two years of college.

Hmmmm the jobs I've had were a liquor sales rep for bars/nightclubs in Chicago so I got to deal with cool owners and hot female bartenders and shot girls. Then I worked for the commercial department for Sears and met a nice bunch of girls who were just fun as hell. Now I'm an actor and get paid to be on stage and act, again with hot actresses everywhere I go. I guess the liquor sales rep sucked the most because I would be out till 5am almost every night and you get tired of that after a while.

When I was 14 I got a job in a warehouse. A friend got me the job, as his aunt worked there. Most of the people who worked there were undocumented residents. It was nice the first day, I learned about the place and I met some cool people. But then the second day I saw how poorly these undocumented workers get treated. I was asked to not take a lunch, I skipped lunch thinking I would be paid for it and I was not paid. Then at the end of the day we were all paid in cash for our 8 hrs and once we had the money in hand we were told we needed to unload a truck. I asked if we would be paid for staying and I was told no. I refused to unload a truck for free and was told that if I didnt do it not to come back tomorrow. I never returned. It showed me how poorly these undocumented workers get treated.
More recently I took a job driving a truck for a company. I was promised a certain pay level and I was promised nightly home time. When I started I was on the road for 20 hrs a day. The very first day of work my truck had a number of issues wrong with it. Then I picked up my first load and it was 15000 lbs over the legal weight limits, I called the boss and was told I could just go home if I didnt want to drive that load. Then I complained and told them that 4 hrs off time was not what I would consider enough time to be able to drive home, and be home. It was either go home and sleep, or go home and eat, or go home and spend time with the family, or go home and run errands, or go home and shower. So I would have to decide, I can sleep an hr or so, take a shower and then drive back or I can sleep a cpl of hrs and not shower, or I can sleep about a cpl of hrs and eat something but not all of those combined. It was horrible. I complained and was told that I could get more sleep if I just didnt drive home and slept in the truck. One day I made great time. It was looking like I would get home with some decent time to spend at home and as im driving back to the lot to park the truck they call me to scold me for not having told them I was done early. I was instructed to go pick up another load for the following day. I said no and they were pretty mad which in turn made me very mad. There I was putting my butt on the line working those long hrs and im getting scolded? The last straw was that first paycheck. It was an insult. I went to a lawyer and was told my case was too difficult and costly because I had been in multiple states and each state has different laws.

I worked for a wrestling figure website for a w...oh. Whoops. In seriousness though the worst job I had was a deli clerk. Nothing quite like customers who enjoy making your life miserable because you can't do anything back but smile. Can I have half of a pound of turkey sliced extra thin but not too thin please? I worked at a Wawa....which was THE WORST. Especially in the deli, my favorite request was when someone wanted their meat chipped.

Mine would be my first job (and the one I have now). Keep in mind I'm only 18 and waiting to start college in less than a month . The only good things about it are the pay and the fact that it is only 4 days a week. Now the bad stuff. It is a caulking manufacturing plant. Every day I come home filthy because the stuff gets all over the place. Because it is only a summer job, I bounce around helping other people maintain their production. If the assembly belt malfunctions (and it always does), I have to put caps in the ends of tubs for 8 hours straight. My left arm is dead by the time I'm done. Other times I'm scraping caulking out of massive metal buckets or off of 3 foot long blades. Also exhausting. When I first started I was doing stock. That wasn't bad but it was hotter than hell in that warehouse. It's Texas and it's summertime (really bad combination for anyone that hasn't had the opportunity to come down here). The only other thing I have done is the testing of the caulking for quality. It wasn't bad but it was boring. And I think I really screwed up the machine because I haven't done it in a while. The boss is a jerk too. Super intimidating and rude to talk to. While it is putting money in my pocket, it also sucks because by the time I get home I'm too tired to do anything. It's my last real summer before I move out there to the real world but I just don't get to enjoy it. I want August 20 to come around but I'm not quite ready to make the transition. I hope that makes sense.

I worked for a 3rd party tech support company that handled various clients, and one of them was Comcast's Internet department. First of all let me say, of all the companies I've either worked for and/or interacted with, Comcast has got to have the worst customer service ever! And despite my best efforts, I could not make a change with them. One position I had was sells, selling an existing Comcast customer a service to resolve whatever issue they were having with their Internet and/or computer service. Here's an example of what 9 out of 10 calls was. Customer would call because they forgot or never knew their Wi-Fi password. The actual Comcast rep would say they can help them with that and to please hold. Then, I would get that call, unbeknownst to the cusotmer, and now, I needed to turn that into a sell within 10mins., or someone would get on me to get rid of the call and move onto the next one. The idea that you're misleading customers and then pissing them off like that is just completely ridiculous. I knew it was terrible, and I sometimes even in little ways expressed my thoughts subliminally just so whoever was monitoring my calls could hear it, not so much the customers. When a customer would get upset enough, understandably so, I'd say, "Hey, are you by your router right now (that Comcast provided them with by the way)? Look under it, do you see SSID? That's your Wi-Fi name. Do you see Network Key? That's your password. Try that. It worked? Great, have a good day." I didn't do that for long because I did not want to be a party to their ridiculous way of doing customer service.

It sort of just shards off into a giant pile on the slicer. Very strange but I had more than one regular who requested it.
