This was a poll question on the main page of NHL.com today, and I thought it would be interesting to see what you guys thought too. Obviously the Ottawa Senators have been highly favoured in the early season by analysts and fans alike. But who do you think will have the most success this season, and go the furthest? I am still deciding how to vote, because I would love to say Edmonton, but I need to vote honestly _Arch

Thus far, with just the few games each team has played, you could ixnay Toronto and Calgary. Montreal has been really impressive. Ottawa seems like the favourite to go furthest. They wrecked Buffalo the other night with the 5-0 shutout. Edmonton seems to be doing as well as most expected they would with the moves they made. As much as I'd love to say Toronto.. But judging by the performances thus far, I'd say Montreal. Bob Gainey did a good job building that team and it's showing with their 3-0 unbeaten streak [all away games, as well]. These are sad days for Leafs fans when the two favourite Canadian teams to go furthest are the Sens and the Habs. hah..

I would personally go with Montreal Canadians at this moment, I feel that Montreal will at least make it to the second round of the Playoffs. But Montreal could prove me wrong though, and could even go to the third round. As for the Oilers, when I saw them on Saturday Night.. They were very impressive, as all the time was just crashing the net, not giving the other team a chance. Oilers will go far in the Playoffs, but won't win the Cup although I've been saying 'Oilers will win the Cup this year.' Sadly for Calgary Flames, I believe the 'magic' has been lost when Gelinas left the team. Gelinas was the 'Magic', and man he was the Terminator of the last NHL Playoffs.. Always scoring last to eliminate the teams from the Playoffs. Toronto, well... They're just slow.. But hey, at least Domi got two goals so far. :-P Lindros, I already said to my friends that Lindros could have a possible comeback season this year. We'll just have to wait and see.. Toronto is lacking in speed, and Stajan, one of my favorite players on the Maple Leafs.. Too bad about Sundin. Vancouver, well...They'll be a tough team to beat in the Playoffs this year. Big Bert is back, and badder than ever. I can see them becoming a possible Cup Contender this year. As long Naslund, Big Bert, and the Sedin Bros can keep on scoring. Ottawa, Im impressed with Heatley and Spezza on the same line.. Ottawa, they will go far in the East.. Most likely becoming the TOP Eastern Team to beat. I just feel bad for Toronto though.. and Pat Quinn.. Could this year be the end of Quinn's Era in Toronto? Ever since the new General Manager, man... I hate that guy.. I woulda LOVED to see Dougie in this new era of NHL. I know, old but still.. It's ing Dougie! Anyway, Montreal Canadians has been impressing me. I love Ryder, man.
