Honestly, if we get another Elizabeth, it's gotta be a NWO version

Please STOP!!!!!
Rereleases suck. If you missed out on a figure, too bad. Anti up the cash on evil bay. I hope we never see another reissue again. A mountain of repaints we could have before rerelease, not to mention, you know NEW FIGURES!

I am completely OK with repaints of older figures I missed (SS Heritage Jim Duggan is a great example) But re-releases: a) prevent paying extortionate prices on eBay b) fill holes in collections c) help out newer collectors d) profit of sales can go towards budgets for new figures I know Bill said its a one off, but the odd wave of Elite 'Lost Legends' is a nice idea I think.

Well, with the exception of the DM HBK which I only have or wanted one of I already have multiples of every figure on the list, so I don't really know if I would buy another of them. That said I wouldn't care if they rereleased every figure listed.

Other — None. If you missed out, too bad. I missed out on DM1 HBK, but I'm not willing to sit through countless rereleases in my hopes that I will ever get it.

Exactly. I agree completely. Bill even said that there was litte to no production time to develop anything new and elites were selling really well, so he had to make a set on the fly and just took some sought-after figures and rereleased them (with slight tweaks) for people who missed out on them. So we didn't miss out on any new figures despite what Vamp55 thinks. If anyone is really buying these figures for their future monetary worth, you're in the wrong hobby.

I wouldn't mind maybe once a year mattel doing a Elite Legends series and sort of do what they just did. Have a set of 6. Do 4 re-releases of older figures, and then like one current legends type superstars. For example this would be a perfect fit for a just update Cena, but maybe without the shirt sort of like they would release him in the BAF series. And then make it a unreleased or first in series or a different gimmick legends. Like for example this would be a spot for a NOA Godfather. I think doing it once a year would make it so it doesn't seem like we are getting more re-releases in a regular Elite series.

I would enjoy straight rereleases of Elite 17 Mankind and Elite 12 Kane, but I feel in the interest of fairness and to possibly counteract any shelf clogging, you could do the two sleeved Kane a la King of the Ring '98, and Mankind in the light blue shirt he wore towards the end of his career. Or better still, an Elite of him wearing tights rather than joggers

I want another Fit Finlay, don't care if it's a re-release or a flashback with the longer hair.

I would pick Amazon Mankind Papa Shango and DM5 Bret. I have Shango MOC but might get one for loose and the other 2 i missed out on. I also missed out on Elite 16 Diesel and Nash so maybe them. I hate any rereleases though. I had the perfect chance to buy most if not all of those and just skipped some. Its my fault and if i want them now will go on Ebay.

A mountain of repaints we could have before rerelease, not to mention, you know NEW FIGURES! I definitely see your point. I respectfully disagree. Rerelease kills the secondary market, and despite popular belief, a strong secondary market brings new collectors to the product, turns it into a 'collectable' market and a collectable product. Will also help the product in the long term. No, I do not collect for value, which is why I have no problem with repaints. Rereleases are little more then a short sighted money grab by Mattel, and I get it, they are business etc, but at what cost. We have already seen collectors bow out because if Mattel increases rereleases what is the point? Nothing wrong with wanting an overall collection to hold some collectable value. This is easily sustained by Mattel, via repaints (see hasbro values) Your point about the sales profit going to the budget of figures? Best I can tell Mattel WWE has never been more popular (I could be wrong) yet I would contest the overall quality of figures has dropped. The fact we get the level of figures we do currently is likely due to the clever thinking of MDT. (Again could be wrong - but nothing backs up your point) eBay is not a bad place. Your call them 'extortionate' prices, I call it fair market value. Why, because something is worth what someone will pay. Just because a new collector doesn't value a figure at $100, doesn't mean the market doesn't. And patience is the key with eBay. nothing, and I mean nothing is ever a one off. Don't like someone's Buy it now price, be patience and what for a auction to set the market fairly. It really isn't that hard. And I'm sorry, to fill holes in your collection? Same can be achieved by repaints. If u want a certain style of Ultimate Warrior and its 4x times the price as the new one just released (thinking legends vs e26), then anti up the cash and by it. It shouldn't be rereleased because Mattel ed up the legends line to start with and no one supported it. As far as I'm concerned, and this is taking it a bit to far I'll be honest, but it is a sign of disrespect to the long time collectors of Mattel. Where's the loyalty. And finally the argument to end it all. WOULDN'T U RATHER NEW FIGURES?
