Yes, its another QC issue. But this is also an issue with faulty design. My biggest want of 2016 has been an Elite Braun Strowman. I was beyond stoked when he was announced. Tonight, I wandered into Target and stumbled across new stock. Finally. There was a lone Braun, I looked him over and the paint was near perfect. I rushed home and rippes him open. I finally had Braun in hand. But, the first blow was a very loose waist. When I say loose, I mean he spins like a New Years Eve sound maker. So that sucks, but nothing a fine line of super glue couldn't fix. Then, I check his leg movement. Here is where the major blow comes in. His legs barely lift pass what I can only refer to as a shin kick. This is really frustrating. This is a wrestling toy, I understand, but having a figure this massive that couldn't execute a big boot to Hornswoggle is ridiculous. So whats the solution?
I really want Mattel's input on why they couldn't utilize the same joint system used on Godfather on all the figures that use pants? Sure the joint would require special sculpting, but it would add so much overall to the playability and possibility of the figure. What say you Mattel?

Sounds really disappointing, aside from target having new figures

Heres why the waist is spinning like an old hasbro toy.
Mattel has been releasing a lot of their elites without the abdominen peg spacer to save cost.
The little black square that sits on the peg to keep things tight.
For some figures its not needed but not for all

There is/was a small white piece of rubber between the shoulder joint & the torso. When you heat up the figure a lot and pull on the arm you sometimes can pull the arm off that spacer just enough where it falls off into the torso. The arm become really loose and you can hear the spacer rattling around in the torso.

I remember pulling it out of DA6 Edge cause it came loose and started to stick out. Took forever to get out because I was only using my nails

Sounds like the perfect question to ask when Ringside asks for Qs to be Aed only to have them ignore it in favor of "When will [new talent who has been on tv for half a minute] have a figure out?"

I'm sure someone else hast posted a better solution (but I replied before I actually read the responses but too late now) but I'd say maybe heat up the plastic rope from the figure packaging with a blow dryer and heat him in the middle (maybe?) a bit and like a U, pull it as close as you can to center and let it brake off inside..? Is there enough room for that? can you not soak the legs in really hot water then blow dry em a bit to maybe loosen them up a bit? I dunno...this was probably as useless post by me But on the plus side - your ability to laugh in the face of action figure tragedy is great. even though it's not funny for you the news years eve clacker thing joke was really funny when picture it in my mind. Good stuff. I hate all the issues we have with these toys. I feel like I wanna travel back in time and inspect the toys of the 80's lol see if they were the same or if just cuz we were kids we didn't care (to remember). I will say this though I always searched the figs for the best looking one. ALWAYS. And I can say that I think I would have taken a fig if it was the last one and kinda messed up. Not like today where we're looking through a magnifying glass. Funny thing is when I spent like WAY too much time looking them over, when I got home something was always wrong with the fig. If I didn't have bad luck, I'd no luck at all, right? The two wonder womens...aquaman would kick...

I'm not sure that's a QC issue as much as that's just how that figure is... mine isn't much better but it doesn't feel jammed up.

Ringside is not going to nerf their cash cow in public. C'mon. Someone should be publicly prodding Mattel about QC, but not a retailer. That's bad for both sides.

They asked about the new elbows in the last Q & A, they can ask about the torsos. As Apocalypse pointed out it's about the spacer and how some figures need it and some don't. It was also a dig at Ringside.

Did you contact Mattel? Bringing this stuff to their attention rather than just posting in this forum about it is the only way things may change.

That's it. I'm leading a boycott against Mattel. I'm starting it right after I get Pillman, Goldust, Harlem Heat, Natural Disasters, the Warrior-Papa 2 pack, the Samoans, and any other flashbacks announced in the foreseeable future...

MattelDesignTeamPart of the reason I hardly but elite lines. Sure basics have their faults but it's seems to be more prevelant. (Paint misaligned on hip swivel is my #1)

Mattel's quality this year has been the worst ever. Figures have loose waist's. arms and paint chips.
It's got to the point that I'm scared to even move a figures limbs.

I remember a time when I thought people were lying about their qc issues a few years back. I always knew there was some few problems here and there but at this point every figure comes with an issues and the worst part is I usually have to hope everything comes in good condition. This year I've gotten nothing but figures with glue on their hair and shoulders, figures with their torso seams not glued, figures with missing paint, loose joints and torsos and to top off the qc issues it's annoying when they choose wrong parts. At this point, I'm only resorting to a few figures and now I'm heavily concentrated on WCW guys. I hope they sort this out.

Ive yet to come across any issues besides a few paint mishaps.
There's no way for mattel to know that its leaving the factory this way, unless they individually test each figure.
In 2016, $20 is not that much for a figure..so dont expect figuart or any other higher brand quality.
It sucks, but theyre not meant to be high quality/high end collectibles.
I still think some of you man handle the hell out of these things and just blame mattel
