I would pick the Jakks Diesel head scan over the Mattel Diesel head scan though.
Jakks figures may have sucked when it came to size, but a lot of their face/head scans were well done and looked pretty identical.

, oh that's right, Mattel never made this attire. With that over sized hat and shirt, the jakks cena looks like a little rascal.

No Jakks were not a product of their time. Hasbro came before and the head sculpts were 100 times better. Toybiz looked better. Everything looked better. It makes no sense. Thankfully Mattels been pretty banging.

Jakks was a product of its time, without them our wrestling figures would be a lot different. PS Mattels cartoon head scans will never touch Jakks you could look at the Jakks fig and immediately tell its Cena, if you put that Mattel head on any other body, someone with less knowledge would have a hard time identifying this generic looking white guy

They looked like the wrestlers not some weird bizarro version of the wrestler who fell down the stairs and got stung by bees.

PS Mattels cartoon head scans will never touch Jakks That JAKKS head was one of Cena's last, which means they had plenty of time to make a great likeness...and its still not very good. The Mattel one is the first Cena scan which isnt a great likeness either but you put up one of the latest Cena mattel heads to a later Cena Jakks head and Mattel blows it away!!

You'd probably have a more notable thread asking which Jakks figures were superior to Mattel. this!

I actually prefer both the Jakks CS & CSDA Ravishing Rick Rude's to the Mattel long haired Legends (not the short haired newer one, different era)
Also the blue jumpsuit CS Honky Tonk Man to me is better than the Mattel elite
Jakks CS 4 Roddy Piper is my favorite Piper in figure form, I think that likeness is the best
But Mattel has really come out and made better versions of everyone at this point. The only thing Mattel is really lacking now is character selection when it comes to Flashbacks. Berzerker, Adam Bomb, Kona Crush, Brooklyn Brawler, Warlord & Barbarian, Giant Gonzales, Gorilla Monsoon.....to name a few

I'm too lazy to confirm, but didn't Jakks once release a Jarret/Owen 2pk and used this exact head for both? I know for sure I owned a Jarret and Owen with that head, which was horrendously lazy in its own regard. But to put them in a 2pk together seemed like a ballsy "whattaya gonna do about it" to collectors. No, it was originally an Owen head. Later, a Jarrett was released in a 2-pack with Debra (I think), using the same head with a painted on goatee.

Say what you will about Mattel being better than Jakks... Jakks being better than Mattel...
I sold every single WWE figure I own except for ONE single 2 pack...
The Jakks Classic Superstars Tag Team 2-pack LOD!
ABSOLUTE BEST wrestling figures EVER MADE!!
Jakks absolutely kicked Mattel's ass on this one!!

FAR too many to name. There really isn't any point in going this route actually, because Jakks really is hot garbage compared to Mattel. A better thread would be figs that Jakks did better. There wouldn't be very many.
Jakks did a pretty good job on Snuka Jakks Yoko was slightly better Mattel's Rikishi can't possibly touch the r3....or the TTL for that matter Jakks might've also done the spikey haired version of Jack Swagger better, but that really isn't saying much. The Jakks white underwear Vladimir Kozlov was also better.
Yup, that's it. 5
Edit: Oops, I forgot that Mattel never really did a decent Matt Hardy. 6
