I like the bigger, bulkier cartoonish look for ALOT of figs over Matte'ls skinnier versions. the Detail on Mattel is usaully better, but not always the outfits or the face scans. I came from LJN & Hasbro days, so sometimes to me Mattels are more like Marvel figs or something. and with not even including time and evolution, both lines and figs are great. this reminds of people who liked WWF, but said WCW sucked, or liked UFC but thought Pride sucked. it's like some people just have to have 1 thing to like and then another to not like, to make what they like better.
not to mention all the different versions of figs Jakks gave us. exclusives, 2-packs, 3-packs.

I shouldn't pile on, but... This one, I think is a decent effort... I don't see what you are getting at here... These are actually two good figures. I think Edge's coat is to big and bulky, but I really do like the HBK. I was trying use HBK as an example showing one of Jakks better figures. Mattel hasn't made this HBK, but I think it's tough to beat.

The topic isn't about lineups, it's about figures who were released by the both companies and the thought that Mattel is better.
When topics like this happen it always diverts to 'well Jakks had a better lineup.' Yeah, and it was awesome, but talk about their quality of figures.

Yeah, and it was awesome, but talk about their quality of figures. but no one ever does a comparison with all the figs side and side and always picks out Jakks worst to put pics of, then it turns into pages of "Yeah, Jakks sucked or wasnt that great" and then right on Q, the fact the Savage & Steamboat were made by Mattel is brought up. so, just defending Jakks a little. I cant figure out how to post pics where thay actually show up, its always a link to the photo-host site. but Im tryin to figure it out, then I'll just start posting pics of the good jakks on these threads.

I cant figure out how to post pics where thay actually show up, its always a link to the photo-host site. but Im tryin to figure it out, then I'll just start posting pics of the good jakks on these threads. The very first post has an example of the thread topic with Kamala and Rikishi, then several posts down is another example with John Cena. They're clearly not doing the whole bash Jakks thing, its valid arguments. Just these type of arguments always go that way, you just gotta help put the train back on track. --- For posting pics, check the Forum Support section, there are several topics on the first page alone asking how to post pics - forum.wrestlingfigs.com/board/28/wf-forum-support-centerFor me the easiest way is to do it like this: There are a few things to note, how there is the direct link to the image between the word img in brackets. Since its a code the beginning bracket is just the word img and the end is /img which the slash shows to close the code. And in between you want to put a direct link to the image itself, it will typically end in a .jpg/.gif/.png extension. There is also a button labeled "Insert Image" if you're posting a reply from the desktop version of the site and its not a quick reply. Copy that code I have in the gray box from [im to mg] and paste it in a post and you'll see if you've done it correctly if the image appears. Just use that format going forward.

ha! awesome, thanks man! as to the post, Kamala/Rikishi had to be 2 of the worst Jakks and everyone knows that. That Jakks Cena head scan was one of their worst as well. OP started it off with crappy comparison's which gets the ball rolling with jakks hate. hopefuly I can post pics now and, as you said, get it back on track. thanks again for the help man.

man whatever happend to just posting a pic from your pics? or copy/pasting a pic? now you have to save a pic/link, upload to a photo hosting site and then copy paste that link? or am I wrong and its easier than that?

Cause we all remember when Hawk & Animal has the same size arms and both wore laced up boots. And those jakks figures came with the awesome added gauntlets as well!! Then again, Im still waiting to find an accurate match to those attires. Ive still yet to see them wear the gold trimmed attire with Red/black shoulder pads in an actual match. How did JAKKS Ricky Steamboat, Kerry Von Erich, Kevin Von Erich, Macho Man, Magnum TA, Sting and Larry Zbyszko turn out?? they didn't turn out very well. how did Mattel's version's of these guys turn out: Dude Love Koko B. Ware One Man Gang Don Muraco Gorilla Monsoon Harley Race Superstar Billy Graham Bruiser Brody Chief Jay Strongbow Freddie Blassie Greg Valentine Sabu Fabulous Moolah Ken Shamrock Rick Steiner Brooklyn Brawler Captain Lou Albano Al Snow Bad News Brown Brother Love Mountie Luna Vachon Abdullah the Butcher Bob Backlund Sensational Sherri Zeus The Genius Ron Bass The Barbarian The Warlord Giant Gonzales Repo Man Ken Patera Val Venis King Mabel Sunny Kevin Sullivan Adam Bomb Howard Finkel Nikita Koloff Ron Simmons WCW Tony Atlas Sandman Jesse Ventura Taz Buff Bagwell Chainsaw Charlie Spike Dudley Berzerker Billy Kidman Bastion Booger Haku/Meng Giant Machine Dr. Death Steve Williams Mr Fuji Danny Davis Kona Crush Blackman Col Mustafa Virgil Harvy Wimpleman Midnight Express Strike Force Hollywood Blondes Killer Bees British Bulldogs Rock & Roll Express The Russians Too Cool Dudes w/Attitudes Hardy Boyz Mega Maniacs The Freebirds Rythm n Blues Powers of Pain Drop the mic! 👏👏👏

For all those that continue to bash Jakks WWE figures - what's the point!! I'm sure at the time everyone thought the Nokia 3310 was great - now compare that to the iPhone 7. That to me is the same as comparing Jakks WWE and Mattel WWE figures. Maybe we should be comparing the current TNA Jakks (if they still make them) against the WWE Mattel figures - that to me is a more relevant comparison. The nokia 3310 is still the superior device

I think it's pretty dumb to compare the people that were made in the lines instead of the actual lines. When it comes down to the actual figures, Mattel does better.

As for the rest, personally I'd rather have versions of Savage, Sting and Steamboat over pretty much all those guys... ^

Some were lost when the image hosting site I was using for them closed down. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/154885/official-pic-request-thread?page=4

Let's be 100% fair, Jakks and Mattel both have amazing figures and crappy ones.
Jakks' CS Sensational Sherri was super well done. Mattel still hasn't made her and I'm not sure if they could top it. They also had a wider variety of Classic Superstars while Mattel does not and doesn't even have an exclusive series for Legends or Classic guys.
Mattel has had their share of terrible figures. I haven't really seen any fantastic Dean Ambrose figures except the zombie one. I don't like any of the Seth Rollins faces. And lately the female figures are really really shotty. I hate downing Mattel because they have done a lot of cool things. But I'm extremely upset with the way BP41 Charlotte came out. The sloppy face painting, the dang shorts cutting off in the thigh area. And every one I've seen has a weird finger print smudge on the pelvic area. That was a terrible figure! The next Charlotte should be a bombshell!
Jakks just got a little lazy in the end. But we all collected them! We praised many of the figures at one point. I think it's hilarious when people say BCAs are terrible. They aren't amazing but I have a lot of favorites from that era.

BCA were horrible. I purchased 2 pre real scan ones...an Ultimate Warrior and a Bret Hart. But the KB Toys BCA exclusives that came out during the R3 or RA years I purchased a Benoit, Jericho and two Triple H figures. I do still enjoy my Jakks and have my CS and CSDA displayed, but as far as the actual product design goes I like the Mattel more than Jakks.
