Past few days I've been hearing some "dismissal" Complaints about the new network spotlight undertaker. Mind you, this has been one of the most requested figures of mattels run. Now all the sudden no one know how freakin important it is. Sure, you may have to do a head swap, but isn't that what's everyone is missing? This is 1998 undertaker you guys! Whole new sculpt! ATTITUDE ERA elite version of this attire. Defining moments/ Sdcc exclusive is different damn it! This is such an important figure in my opinion and others as welll.

People complain because they don't agree with your flipp ant comment, "sure you may have to do a headswap" why is it acceptable to have to do a headswap? Why wasn't the right head on it in the first place? And the robe, the robe looks awful, cheap, and on a £25 figure cheap, badly stitched accessories shouldn't really be acceptable.

It happens all the time, people go crazy for a figure then say nothing but negativity about it. I don't really care if the boots or arms are wrong or something like that. But as the post above said we shouldn't be expected to do a head swap. I think it's all justifiable as it's £25 so people have the right to complain. The prices are ridiculous and the products are never fully perfect, I get you will get qc issues but there's way too many and Mattel don't always use the right parts which annoys a lot of collectors. I'm just going to get the DM for £12 as that is a perfect figure for me.

The real question is, why does a toy company make a figure that has the wrong head? They have the right head readily available, so why didn't they just use that one? Makes no sense at all. We shouldn't have to swap heads in order to have the correct figure, this is the job of the toy company.

I guess people didn't watch the attitude era lol Undertaker most definitely had that hair/attire combo so it's accurate

Bill knows how much people want a 1998 Undertaker and he was almost there but then decides to stick a Ministry head on the body which immediately restricts it to his 1999 look.
We have Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and lots of the 1997/1998 roster but we still don't have an accurate Undertaker to join them.

When Mattel makes a late 97 - early 98 head I can put on this figure, you let me know. Because right now it doesn't exist. They've done two 98 era attires, and they used a 96 head on the Basic and a 99 head on the Elite. So yeah, I don't feel this new figure is what people wanted.
You're more than welcome to buy it and be excited about it. No one is stopping you. I'm going to wait until it's $9.99 on TRU's website. This way when Mattel finally releases a Basic with the right head I will have only paid the $20 I should have had to pay to get the figure I wanted in the first place.

You're confused lol the spotlight figure is based off his ministry look, hence the robe. The taker you're referring to was released as a basic, which sucks. But this spotlight figure is actually 100% accurate

Its just how things are in here. People complain because thats what 90% of the people in here do. They complain about wanting a figure made...... they finally get the figure ........ and then they don't think its the way "they" think it should be. Its the ongoing cycle of how this place works.

Because we're consumers who are passionate about a product and thus have unrealistic expectations that are easily dashed causing anguish and rage.

No matter the product you're purchasing, money is money and you expect to get what you're paying for. It's like the whole Big Mac thing. You're expecting to get this glorious burger they show on the menu but you get something else.

No matter the product you're purchasing, money is money and you expect to get what you're paying for. It's like the whole Big Mac thing. You're expecting to get this glorious burger they show on the menu but you get something else. That analogy doesn't work. First, does anyone in 2017 really expect the burger to look just like the one on the menu? Second, even if you do have that expectation, you wouldn't find out that you'd been gypped until you actually got the burger and took it out of the wrapper. You know exactly what you're getting with these action figures. No one is ripping you off. You have the option to carefully examine the product and make an educated decision to buy or not to buy. It's the equivalent of McDonalds showing you the exact Big Mac they want to sell you and then letting you choose whether or not you want to eat it.

It is already accurate. However, His iconic attitude era look from 97-98, would be able to be obtained if you simply swap the recent Lost legends/E23/SS heritage head onto it. Lol I feel alone here. I've been waiting for this look for years. Thanks Bill!
