Just a wee throwback thread to a time when my money wasn't spent on toys but alcohol and nights out! What figure pulled you in collecting the Mattel range and when did you start? Mine was only ever meant to be e22 rock now I have a collection of over 200!

Mine was The Rock too - but the Road to Wrestlemania figure TRU had an offer which I think was spend £25 on WWE figures and get a free Rock. I was buying for my son and ended up with a spare Rock which I put on my dvd bookcase It looked good so I added more......hundreds more

I stopped collecting once wwe made the switch from jakks to mattel i just couldnt invest the time and money. Id always look in the toy section to see what was new but never bought anything that is until last year when taget had the 50% off HOF figures amd i picked up scsa, mdm, jimmy hart, and sgt slaughter on the same day. Now i have 125ish elites and 15ish basic(divas and managers)...I regret stopping sometimes especially when i paid double for lod and noa on the bay. Back into it full time so i have Target and their hof sale to thank!

Target HOF 1 Ultimate Warrior.
That figure actually rekindled my interest in wrestling in general.

Punk/Bryan's first figures. Then came Cesaro and some other indie guys. Couldn't resist.

EG HBK around May 2010, I always wanted the Jakks version, but never found it, plus he had the entrance gear and display base that played the oh so sexy, "Sexy Boy" theme. I bought it during an oil change at Walmart and poured over the details while I was waiting, I was surprised to find the Jimmy Hart credit for the song on the back, never knew he wrote it. I don't know how many figs I have, but it's daunting.

The RC exclusive Kane from 2012 even though I collected the Jakks Classic Superstars long before that.

Legends series 1 Ricky Steamboat. Did not want to restart another collection but they lured me in.

Good idea for a thread. I've collected figures from Ljn, to Hasbro, to wcw and ecw and then Jakks. I was a hardcore jakks collector since day one. I own about 500 jakks figs. I loved jakks especially the classic superstars line which remains my favourite line of all time. I was really heartbroken When jakks lost the license to Mattel and contemplating stopping buying new figs. Then I saw the Mach man Defining moments figure and I was hooked. Mattel has surpassed my expectations as a collector and at the end of the day I'm a wrestling figure collector. I will continue to collect as long as I can. If someone else picks up the license for wwe I'll switch to them, although I hope Mattel hangs on for as long as possible!

Elite 1 Punk, was blown away at how good the figure looked compared to Jakks' later 'works of art'
