Hulk Hogan was the first WWF/E Champion I saw. I didnt see Iron Sheik as WWF Champion but I did see him as an active wrestler.

Started watching at the middle of Cena's first reign, which was very long all things considered
Cena Edge Van Dam Orton Triple H Hardy Batista Sheamus Miz Punk Mysterio Del Rio Rock Bryan Brock Rollins Reigns Ambrose Styles Wyatt Jinder
21/50 that's around half of the champions of a 54 year old belt in 12 years. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...

I started watching back when Shawn Michaels was WWF champion.. Before he lost it to Austin at WM 14 but it was after the Montreal Screwjob.. The HIAC with Undertaker to be exact.. When Kane debuted.
So from there until now.
1997.
Jesus.

41 out of 50! Everyone from Hogan's first run till Jinder a few weeks ago. So there's two things we've learned here... First, I watch too much wrestling.
AND... second, I'm old as f***. Same for me. Started watching the day Andre came out with Hennan on Piper's Pit to confront Hogan and demand a title shot.....And I haven't stopped since!!

From your list it looks like it starts at Edge. I remember randomly getting back into wrestling around that time as a kid. I think I ended up fading out of it on 2011 because of school but have followed it through this site. I remember watching WWF back in the day but my memory sucks so I can't think of who I orignally started with in the Attitude Era.

So its 43/50 for me then as I started watching wrestling a month or so before Iron Sheik defeat Bob Backlund to become WWF Champion. So I saw both Bob Backlund and Iron Sheik as WWF Champion. And yes, like Marino13 - I've watch too much wrestling and I'm also old as f***!

I'm confused do you mean on tv or in person? If you mean in person while they were Champion or just in general?

Anywho, the hiac was because Shawn hit taker with the chair at SummerSlam costing him his title. Bret won vs Taker at SS. Taker pursued revenge. I don't think Bret wrestled at Badd Blood 97, which is when the cell match was. He might've wrestled but I don't remember it. If he did not then that's odd the champ didn't wrestle at a PPV.
