He had one chance, and he has taken the ball and ran with it. Great performances on the mic week after week after week, a classic promo with Heyman where he chocked him out that will be played over and over again in years to come. On RAW he commanded the whole room to feed off his hands, made Reigns look like a complete after thought and made fans beg for a rematch of him and Lesnar.
Of course reality will set in next week when they have Roman beat him clean, yay.

He's the only guy to benefit from being in there with Brock. I heard Brock wants to continue working with him. You can totally see that Brock has been more engaged than usual in this program with Joe. IMO Joe is a made man.
I really hope they don't make a mistake next week and book the wrong match for Summerslam. Even after 2 years, I have zero desire to see Reigns vs Lesnar. I firmly believe that Joe vs Lesnar is where the money is, not Reigns vs Lesnar.

I love Joe, but most likely Vince is holding the brass ring just a little too high for anyone not named Cena or Reigns to reach.

Too bad the brass ring is only for the people WWE want to reach it.

I'm starting to have a feeling/wishful thinking that we may get a Shield vs Miz and The Boys match at Summerslam. Joe was supposed to be one and done but the dude is undeniably on fire. Word is Brock was really happy with the match. They ended it like Brock got lucky. He shined so much during Raw, plus the crowd was firmly behind him.
Honestly my favorite guy on the roster so I'm probably being biased in hoping for more. We will probably get Brock/Roman 2 and then Roman will beat Joe again in a future title defense.

Im with Wells. I'm pretty sure we're getting a Shield one off...against The Miz, Bo Dallas, and Curtiss Axel of all people.

From what I hear from various former superstars podcasts, Too many guys seem to be okay with making a paycheck for sitting in the back in catering. I think someone like Joe realizes he's been all over and he can either take the chance to make it happen or just stay stagnant. Worst case, they get upset with him and he settles for being a millionaire

I wasn't too interested in Joe when he first got called up, the feud with Rollins fell a little flat with me and didn't think his programme in NXT with Nakumara was as good as it could have been. Since the fatal 5 way he's been the guy that's impressed me most on the entire roster not named Neville. I try and catch all the segments he's in on youtube, the stuff leading up to GBOF with Brock and Heyman was brilliant and last night's segment was great.

It's not that Joe grabbed the brass ring, it's more so Vince said, "let's push Samoa Joe for a while."
Six months from now, when Joe is opening a PPV against Dean Ambrose, then you can decide if he really grabbed that brass ring or not.

He has been on fire lately and I am really enjoying him. He is kind of refreshing compared to what we have gotten lately. I think the Summerslam match is going to end up being a Fatal 4 Way with Roman and Braun involved though. I suspect Braun comes back next week and interferes.

I love it, though I'm not getting my hopes up too high because he's not the Samoan that Vince wants us to care about.

Joe has been the MVP of the company for weeks now. He's undoubtedly on fire, he's motivated, and he's knocking every opportunity out of the park. He completely owned the ring last night despite being in there with two of the biggest acts in the company, and the best talker in the company.

I've always been a fan of Samoa Joe, but I fear this intensity and popularity will work against him eventually. If Reigns isn't made to look strong all the time, then Vince will pull the plug on Joe. But taking nothing away from Joe, I've followed his career and he's performing on such an elevated level right now it's crazy. He made Reigns and Brock look like amateurs on the mic last night.
Brock has been a badass for so long, Joe is the first guy that steps up to that intensity. I'm hoping against hope he beats Reigns next week with a Strowman interference of course because, Regins.

The guy is amazing. Everything he's done with Brock has felt so real. When his entrance music hits, you know sh*t's about to go down. You can feel legit tension between he and Brock and can totally believe that they really want to kill each other, the intensity is insane!
It looked like Joe was legit getting under Brock's skin last night. Brock's used to being the bully and it almost looked like he couldn't handle someone standing their ground with him and putting him in his place.
Their match at GBOF had such a big fight feel, I haven't felt excitement like that in such a long time.

Nobody has felt like a real threat to Lesnar in such a long time, not even Taker.

It'd be great if we could have a thread about Joe (or anyone else for that matter) that didn't turn into a Roman bashing thread. It's possible to do.
All that being said, Yes, Joe has been nothing short of fantastic the last month or so. He's been built perfectly behind the scenes and he's delivered in the ring and on the mic. I love it.

You can see at one moment in the match where it looked like Brock legitly tried to get in an offense and Joe pushed him back with force and made Brock work for it. Brock is a beast and was a great shoot wrestler, hes said many times that he loved working with Angel simply because of how much he had to actually work for every bit of offense against him. Brock is someone who doesn't feel challenged often so he's fine collecting a paycheck but when he is challenged physically he steps his game up. Play at the level of your competition. At least thats my take on it.
