I won't be surprised if we see the network subscription fee increase. I think the Network subscription figure will be very price elastic. A lot of casual fans enjoy keeping up to date with WWE PPVs and re-watching older wrestling shows enough to justify paying £/$10 per month, but I don't believe they'll hesitate to cancel if the price goes to £/$15 per month. WWE have backed themselves into a corner through years of neglect in terms of product quality and the marketability of their stars. They are a worldwide company yet aside from John Cena, they have nobody that is a known star worldwide. The blame for this falls squarely on WWE's shoulders - they have the platform to create a huge star by using someone with a charismatic personality and likeability but they simply cannot. Conor McGregor is proof that people are willing to buy into a new star if they have the right qualities and level of engagement. WWE will argue the legitimacy issue, but it's invalid. We, as humans, have a desire to be entertained.. and it doesn't matter if that entertainment comes from a spectacle like pro wrestling (evidenced in our love for TV, movies and The Rock's stint in WWE). WWE will be thrust into the forefront again, whenever they are ready to loosen the reigns on their talent to find the guy that will propel them. I cannot believe that every human on their payroll is as boring as they appear on TV. It's got to the stage now that the only market that WWE can fall back upon is the kids. But this isn't a sustainable business strategy to segregate one demographic - especially when it's the only demographic that cannot actually pay for things themselves. As a matter of fact, the culture of WWE's product today can be described as stale, monotone, overly-polished and distant.

They're not releasing much on blu ray anymore, everything is going on dvds. Who wants to watch dvds on a hd tv in 2017, they might aswell go back to videos as wwe's dvd picture quality looks just like a video in a hd tv.At the end of the day i don't care about all the picture quality crap. I would choose my faithful Summerslam 97 video over some crappy restored version anyday. I'm guessing you still have a big fat old fashioned tv then, instead of a flat screen one.

My WWE VHS's are are a sacred part of my collection and they gave me great enjoyment as a kid. You have got my curious though if I bought an old 90's TV and hooked it up to my VCR and threw some BCA's on the floor I could pretend I'm back in time and properly relive the Attitude era.

If I had known there were plenty of people like you and Vince Russo still living in 1999, I wouldve sold my tube TVs, VHS cassettes, WWF Music CDs, BCAs, etc instead of throwing them out and I wouldnt have to work my job I hate.

Thanks for giving me another great idea. I'm going to convert my spare room into a 1999 room. A bed with Attitude Era bed clothes, a tube TV, VHR, N64, PS1, BCA's, music CD's etc. It would be like going back in time with modern WWE strictly forbidden.

Since they got rid of pyro, can they get rid of the LED crap next?

I'm honestly surprised so many people are affected by the lack of pyro. I seriously never would have noticed had I not heard about it online.
IMO save it for SummerSlam. Save it for Wrestlemania. But I personally don't need pyro to enjoy RAW or SD.

get rid of that pg rating and go back to the way of the attitude era, the ratings were a hell of alot better get rid of the writers and get rid of vince, hell he stole damn near everything from ECW PAUL HAYMAN i know it will never happen. Umm, the PG era isn't the issue. And I personally don't want the Attitude Era back. Too many lackluster matches, trash storylines and non-finishes. They just need to write better. Give people reasons to care about characters, instead of putting them in never-ending matches that don't mean anything. The Attitude Era worked for its time, but the world in general has changed.

Agreed, and some longterm story planning please!!!

I noticed on RAW that everyone who used to have pyro now has seizure-causing flashy lights during their entrance. Watching RAW in the dark gives me a major headache.
