What does that even mean? This isn't Hasbro. Ah love your family album. Are you really that dense? They are a copy of the Hasbro line, using the same moves sets. They won’t just invent more. I'm not in tune with the hasbro line, never collected the original and not connecting the new line, but wasn't the John cena they just did a new mold?

Yes Mattel has already made new molds that Hasbro never did. My only issue with the jumper mold is that figure overall looks small. I would never use it for a Goldberg or even Triple H. Guys like Rollins, Balor, that's fine.

I don’t think Mattel expected these to do as well as they did and kind of got stuck and tried to strike while the iron is hot and just get a few waves out. Maybe they will put more into the line now that they have seen it doing so well

Cena and Owens had new functions, the waist-bend wasn't done by Hasbro. The new functions Mattel have done are the Cen/Owens and the new Nakamura/Zayn have kicks, which is new.

Speaking of the jumpers I finally decided I am tired of not finding series 2 especially the Sting so I just ordered it off their website with free shipping to a store for in store pickup. So Monday when I take our daughter to her classes I will pick it up at the Walmart down the street from her collage.

Ooooo yeeeeaaaaaahhh!!! I totally forgot! Thanks. Any time, brother! And Dusty. I don't mind jumpers, what I do mind is using the same molds for every jumper figure. Hasbro had quite a few jumpers in there line as well but the chest/arm/leg molds were different for each figure. Brutus Beefcake 1, Rocker Shawn Michaels, Koko B. Ware, LOD Hawk, Ricky Steamboat, Macho Man 4 (though, very similar to Brutus 1), Repo Man, and Kamala, all used the jumper action but their body/arms/legs mold were all tailored to the individual wrestler. If mattel did this, I think it would be better than getting the same molds for people who are not similar in height, weight, or muscular build.

It's probably been said before but you all have to remember that Hasbro didnt have a range of WWF action figures like Mattel does. They could focus (for the first few series, at least) on having different actions and they also took a lot longer to produce.
The retros are nothing more than a cheap side project for Mattel. This is why you're seeing reused parts and boring paint jobs using a lot of black. It's an opportunity to exploit the popularity of the Hasbro line and the custom market.
Maybe sales will determine how creative they get and how long the line runs for.

I came here to correct you. After many years of never owning the figure, I finally bought one as part of a lot. I was disappointed when his wind up uppercut action didn't work. Turns out, I was mistaken this whole time!

Don't think we be seeing all that if the line wasn't selling good.

I do not mind the jumper ability to be honest as a kid I never had any issue with it when playing with my Hasbros. I just wish that they gave Goldberg the Hulkaplex/Perfect Plex design as he would have been perfect for it.

I was like "Why does he have a hunchback?!" and my friend demonstrated the action. I was like "eh whatever, it's Brutus, who cares." When I saw it on Ultimate Warrior, I was irate! Like, why? Warrior didn't jump like EVER? Even the splash wasn't a big jump WTF!? I was so glad to get the slam Warrior on the next wave. Sorry, that was OT lol. I don't hate the jump, but it needs to be cut back and used only for dudes who probably jumped a lot. Not like Goldberg or the Warrior.

The people in charge of this line have no idea what made Hasbro figurrs special or what attracts us to them. They're just doing a quick cash in. Any child thst grew up with these would be able to explain how much we hated the jumpers and they were few and far between on top of that.
