Last night, I simply had fun. Threw the cell phone aside and decided to sit in my recliner and enjoy the show.
Thought it was a great Mania!

While I agree with some of your summary there bigshab421 - a few things: The Demon character couldn't work for the simple fact of the logistics of crawling down that long ramp! Sure they could have been creative and found a way to get him there in a blink of eye, but a demon crawl would be like watching an Undertaker 10-min entrance to the ring. Cena vs Taker was a mess, a complete mess. 2:45 seconds because Taker is 143 years old and can't go anymore. He's simply an attraction like Andre was in his latter years. And that's the best thing the bookers could have done. I see lots of folks crapping on Braun, but take it for entertainment - it's a show first and a wrestling event second - that's just the cold hard facts. Braun looses nothing because of last night, in fact he becomes more endearing as a face and will eventually topple a heel champion. Hillbilly Jim wanted to lecture us about opportunity, but Braun is the living embodiment of ceasing opportunity and making the most of it. The Demon thing for Mania could have been done like Taker at Mania 21. Have on of those gliding pieces that roll him to the ring and it looks like he is floating. I wasn't expecting a masterpiece from Cena/Taker, they told the story that Cena ran and ran his mouth, but when Taker finally showed up, he crapped his pants and got caught. It didn't bother me. I'm just salty on Braun because he was so white hot and popular the last few months, and now he is going to be the kid friendly giant act. They are going to waste him.

If Ronda continues to have great matches like she did tonight I can see her headlining next year's wrestlemania with Charlotte Flair.

My biggest takeaways from last night is this; Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan should both be at the top of their respected brands. Those guys are incredible and so fun to watch.

If Ronda continues to have great matches like she did tonight I can see her headlining next year's wrestlemania with Charlotte Flair. Please no. I was planning to attend my first Mania next year and the trip itself will cost an arm and a leg. I have no idea why they cannot just have the women high on the card without making a statement by putting them in the main event. The WWE World Championship should always be the main event. Anyway, I enjoyed last nights Mania watching simply as a fan. I haven't caught more than 2 wrestling shows in the past half year so I didnt really have any idea what was going on storyline wise but the show was good. Fell asleep before the Shinsuke match though, so it appears I missed the show descending into chaos after that.

AJ/Shinsuke def. failed to deliver on the hype but it still would have been infinitely more memorable to see WM close out on Naka's legitimately shocking heel turn as opposed to Brock quickly storming away back to his hotel after another pointless squash match with fans filing out in droves in the background.
The call to move away from having the Rumble winner actual main event WM was a terrible decision and devalues both the Rumble and the proceeding title match that follows.

It amazes me that in such a prime era of wrestling talent (Rollins, Bryan, Wyatt, Cesaro, Balor, AJ Styles, Nakamura, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Cena, Strowman, Joe, Orton, Rusev and Roode), the upper end of the card wasn't a little bit more intense and filled with high quality, meaningful matches. They kind of lumped a lot of these guys into multi man matches at the bottom of the card or rushed matches. I still enjoyed the card as I mentioned but I just feel they are only hitting 50% of their potential right now - especially when you consider that they were in a position to further pad the card with awesome spectacles like the Rousey match and The Undertaker return. Hopefully next year they will get it right in all aspects and let these dudes shine - because its no surprise some guys in WWE are asking for their release, honestly.

Braun picks a kid to be his tag team partner like really?

Lesnar's elbows are razor sharp. Lesnar should use the elbows to brutalize his opponents in his matches more often with him adding it into his arsenal because it makes him look more dangerous in the ring instead of doing suplex after suplex.

I wish they would have had Carmella try to cash in mid match. Then have Asuka kick her in the face before it becomes official. Charlotte then could have clipped Asuka's knee and then locked in the Figure 8 for the win. That way, Asuka stays strong and it sets up a future feud between them when/if they end up on the same roster.
And as I said last night, I think the way they handled Cena/Taker was kinda ugly. Cena should have just said that he was going to issue the first ever open WM Challenge. Then we could have speculated for weeks on who it would be. Then when Taker's music hits, people would have went crazy.

Reigns main eventing WrestleMania after WrestleMania does nothing for me and I am sure it does nothing for us casual fans. WWE obviously doesn't care about that and why? Reigns like it or not love him or hate him he is a draw the face of the company. Basically he is a John Cena 2.0 so we may as well get used to it because it ain't changing any time soon.

I enjoyed 7 out of the 11 matches and guess that's enough to call it pretty good.

He really isn't the draw they are hoping for. If anything showed, its that guys like Styles and Bryan are the main draws now more than ever. I recall reading there was a major surge in tickets when it was announced Bryan was coming back. Hell, I only went to SDL in Pittsburgh two weeks ago to see him live. They need to overhaul Reigns. I don't think he has the wit or smarts to be really good on the mic, but if they can tweak his character, and even something as simple as a ring gear change, I think fans would be more receptive. It is just that he has been in the same character since he debuted, but his SHIELD brethren have all developed and evolved as characters and wrestlers. With Reigns, everything is: Shield Music, Shield Attire, Superman Punch, Superman Punch, Spear,Superman Punch, Spear, 1...2...3.....Rinse and repeat. The crowds are fed up man. I bet if there were an exit poll at Mania and you asked people who they came to see or what match, I guarantee Reigns or Reigns/Brock option, would be under 5%. Nobody cares about him enough, part of that is on WWE for being bullheadedly stubborn and part of it is on him for not really improving to the point of getting empathy from the crowd.

Something was happening camera side.

I think this was the most fun I’ve had watching wrestlemania since I was a kid. I let my 7 year old son stay up to watch it and he was going nuts for certain parts which made it that much more enjoyable for me as well

Overall I enjoyed mania. Charlotte and Asuka was my favourite match. Ronda did. Enter than I expected. Brock winning was a nice surprise. I wasn't a fan of the Stroman/ Bar story. Taker and Cena was ok. About as much as I expected.

My buddy who I have gotten back into wrestling by introducing him to NXT, looked at me last night and said "How can NXT and WWE be the same company. NXT felt so real to me, like they all hated each other. WrestleMania is cool, but you can tell its a show and not personal or as serious."
I just looked at him and said it's the future, unless Vince lives another 20 years.

Looking back on it, Styles and Nakamura basically worked the first 18 minutes of a NJPW epic main event, skipped all the meat in the middle and went right to the final two minutes. Can't get over how disappointing that match was.
