To me Mania was just... dissapointing. It looked liked it was going to be awesome but was runied by WWE trying to throw in ‘unexpected swerves’.
It just wasn’t my cup of tea this year.

Braun picks a kid to be his tag team partner like really? People complain about Judy Bagwell being a tag champ. At least she is an adult! They must have let Vince Russo book that one match.

My buddy who I have gotten back into wrestling by introducing him to NXT, looked at me last night and said "How can NXT and WWE be the same company. NXT felt so real to me, like they all hated each other. WrestleMania is cool, but you can tell its a show and not personal or as serious." I just looked at him and said it's the future, unless Vince lives another 20 years. NXT has a special feeling to it that makes it feel different and real compared to WWE. I think that just the overall nature of NXT is much better than how things are done on the main roster.

It also helps so much that their roster isn't overexposed and having repetitive matches on tv every week and killing themselves at house shows either. You're right, there is a different feel/aura to it. It is pro wrestling personified to me. I really hope that once HHH runs the main shows that he really revamps the presentation of RAW & SDL. I also hope that for the sake of the wrestlers and the quality of t.v. matches, they start to cut back on live events and overseas tours. I think if they ran two SuperShow house shows on Fridays and Sundays, it would freshen up the quality of matches, and preserve the talent's health. I understand why they probably won't ever do that, but if I were head honcho, I'd be cutting back.

I though WrestleMania was awesome.
The raw and smackdown tag title matches were pretty awful, but other than that, the show was great.
Nobody would have predicted the way the Charlotte/asuka and Lesnar/Reigns matches would end. They seemed set in stone to go the other way.
Also, Undertaker looked great. Yeah the match was short, but he was moving well and hit all of his famous moves, and as a fan that's all I want.
Let's see what WWE does moving forward. I doubt they've pulled the plug on Reigns, so I'm interested to see in where this goes. It just seems like him beating Undertaker last year was a waste since he didn't follow it up in beating the other 1 in 24-2.

The IWC loves to complain about "smart crowds" which admittedly they CAN get annoying at times (the "We are awesome" chant from a few years the night after Mania remains the most cringeworthy, embarrassing pro wrestling chant of all time) but the crowds are a huge part of what makes NXT feel special. Even simple stupid stuff they EXPLODE over which creates this insane atmosphere even watching at home. I remember my wife literally jumping off the couch years ago when Blue Pants returned at Brooklyn to fend off Alexa Bliss and help the Vaudevillians defeat Blake/Murphy. When I asked her why and if she knew who Blue Pants even was she realized she has no idea and just got excited because the crowd was going so bat over it.

I think this Mania floated right around average for me. Some highs, some real lows, but a lot of mediocrity. Purely on grades with no real over analysis: – Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal: C (B ending) – WWE Cruiserweight Championship: C – WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal: D – WWE Intercontinental Championship: A – Smackdown Women’s Championship: A (A better finish could have made this an A+ for me) – WWE United States Championship: C – Kurt Angle/Ronda Rousey v Triple H/Stephanie McMahon: A+ – Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match: C – Undertaker v John Cena: D – Shane McMahon/Daniel Bryan v Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens: B- – Raw Women’s Championship Match: D – WWE Championship Match: C – Raw Tag Team Championship Match: F – Universal Championship Match: D Looking back on it, Styles and Nakamura basically worked the first 18 minutes of a NJPW epic main event, skipped all the meat in the middle and went right to the final two minutes. Can't get over how disappointing that match was. This is spot on. They were working body parts like they had 45 minutes but they only had 20 mins. They really should have just gone a hard 20 minutes. I get that they wanted to tell this great, flowing, story, but they already had that match at WK10. Last night's match never got out of the gate and then it just ended pretty abruptly. They should have treated it like the sequel, which for a number of fans it was. We didn't need a feeling out process. Nakamura should have been throwing hammers and AJ should have been flying around and using his speed. We'll probably get that match at Backlash now that the story actually has a heel, which was a big problem for this one imo.

My though on this..
It was long but I powered through.
Entrances were good. Charlotte’s was cool even though they ripped off Triple H at XXX. Nakamura’s was cool. Loved all the pyro.
Charlotte beating Asuka was a suprise, but a surprise I’m sure many welcome. We know Asuka is badass so she needs depth.
Rollins looking like a white walker was neat.
Seeing Undertaker was great. He looked good and moved around well enough for an old guy with a new hip.
Styles - Nakamura needed to either open or be in the Rousey match spot. I didn’t NOT enjoy it.
Speaking of Rousey, good for her. She did good and the crowd ate it up. Kurt honestly can’t have a good match anymore and Triple H looked stiff and Bird leg
Jinder meh
Yay for Harper and Rowan. I have always liked their matches.
Braun is awesome. Needs to go to the moon
Bork winning was a huge LEGIT surprise to me. The crowd went home happy. The second time Roman-Brock and the second time Roman lost 1-2-3. Of course he’s still their top guy and they’ll give him his feed these other 364 days. If Vince is smart enough to do it right Roman can be the hottest heel in 20 years.
Overall good and fun Mania.

I've come to grips that Mania is no longer the ultimate payoff show that it used to be. You would have long feuds with deep storylines finally culminating at WrestleMania. Now its merely a show to start and/or resume storylines that never really got going in the first place. We are all going to have to wait and see what happens to Lesnar as champ, AJ/Nakamura, Asuka's broken streak, Strowman and the Tag Titles, and Zayn & Owens.

If Vince is smart enough to do it right Roman can be the hottest heel in 20 years. Overall good and fun Mania. Definitely agree with you as far as the entrances because they definitely were better than last year's entrances and that is saying a lot. Charlotte's entrance basically did kind of rip off Triple H's entrance from XXX but it was good nonetheless for the simple reason that it ties into her gimmick of her being "The Queen". Nakamura's entrance was great as well and that we can both agree on. Definitely loved the pyro for certain entrances. Charlotte being the one to end Asuka's streak is definitely a missed opportunity in my opinion because this basically kills Asuka's momentum in the long run if you think about it. Or maybe I am just reaching because of all the women to end it you have it be Charlotte, like really? Loved Rollins' whole look last night because if he was going for a Game of Thrones type look he definitely succeeded in that. As for Miz's entrance it was probably one of his better Mania entrances last night and for Balor his entrance did nothing for me personally. Balor should have came out as The Demon King hell he should have been The Demon in the build-up to this match. Could you imagine him in a Demon entrance last night especially in New Orleans? It would have been awesome. Taker/Cena did nothing for me because of how short the match was and honestly this match should have happened years ago rather than last night. I mean if the match was gonna happen at least make it believable because Cena barely got in any offense at all hell he was dominated by Taker and if that is how Taker matches are gonna be from now on then no sorry I am not interested. Styles/Nakamura was great but like you match order wise they either should have gone on first as being the opening match for Mania or they should have been in the main event closing out the show. However, Nakamura's heel turn was a thing of beauty because it was so unexpected. Jinder Mahal experiment continues and I for one could not be happier. Harper & Rowan becoming the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions at least freshens up the Smackdown Tag Team Division. Braun Strowman and a kid winning the titles I mean really? How old is that kid? I mean do we really expect him and this kid to be RAW Tag Team Champions for all that much longer? Before this match I was skeptical of Rousey thinking that she couldn't make that transition from UFC into WWE but she managed to prove me wrong last night. Hell, she looked like a natural in that ring honestly. Kurt Angle at this point needs to retire from in ring competition hell same thing goes for Triple H. Triple H needs to stick to being an executive rather than being a competitor same goes for Stephanie too in that regard. Brock going over in the main event over Roman honestly was the right decision because honestly Reigns at this point he still hasn't caught on as being the face of the company. Reigns main eventing year after year does nothing for us as fans.

I love seeing everyone complain and be disappointed about Nakamura vs. Styles.
I called that from the Rumble that the match would suck between the two, and it did!
I still say a Balor vs. Styles match with Gallows and Anderson being caught in the middle would have made for a much more exciting WWE Title match.

Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27th... I mean it is basically set in stone that there will be 7 titles defended at this Network Special and then there is the 50 Man Royal Rumble Match so I think it is safe to say that all titles in WWE will be defended in Saudi Arabia at this event.

Even given the disastrous main event, that was an incredible WrestleMania! Almost every match delivered, full of memorable moments, wonderful entrances. I would definitely call it the greatest WrestleMania of all time. Such a shame it ended so disastrously. Although the main event initially darkened my opinion of the entire show as a whole, now that some time has gone by, I don't feel that way anymore.
1. Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal - It was good. Bray's return to help Matt was fantastic, and I cannot wait to see what happens next with these two.
2. Cruiserweight Championship: Cedric Alexander VS Mustafa Ali - This was the only match on the entire card that I didn't care for beforehand. But this match was incredible! Both men showed themselves to be amazing talents, and I may actually start watching 205 Live after seeing their performance.
3. Women's Battle Royal - It was good. Loved that so many NXT superstars were included, especially seeing "the Big Dawg" Dakota Kai involved in a match at WrestleMania! It was great to have Paige on commentary, and she clearly stated that her career is not actually over, given that she hoped to be part of next year's. But I was not a fan of having Naomi win it. To start with, it's a travesty that Sasha and Bayley weren't given a one on one match at WrestleMania, given how long they've been building up their storyline. It's a much bigger travesty that they didn't do anything with their story in this match either. If I were booking, I would have had either Bayley or Sasha win the battle royal, and then the one who didn't win fully turn heel, brutally attacking the winner. Why they didn't bother to finally give their feud the pay-off it deserved at WrestleMania is beyond me. And if they didn't want either Sasha or Bayley to win, why on earth did they not go for Becky Lynch?! Lynch is easily the most undervalued female superstar in WWE, and should be on top of the division, rather than languishing at the bottom.
4. Intercontinental Championship: The Miz VS Finn Balor VS Seth Rollins - To start with, I just have to say how much I loved Balor's LGBT Balor Club entrance. I just love the fact that Finn deliberately wants to send such a positive message. The match itself was pretty good. Honestly, although I was rooting for Balor to win, I would have been happy with any of the three winning. All of them are brilliant talents, though I do think Miz held the title long enough. Happy with Seth winning the title.
5. SmackDown Women's Championship: Charlotte Flair VS Asuka - Holy crap! Charlotte's entrance was jawdroppingly amazing! The match itself was incredible, and it was such a shock that they ended Asuka's streak! I honestly sat there in shock for a good minute, because I didn't think they'd end it. I expected them to continue her undefeated streak for another year, so Rousey could end it at next year's WrestleMania. Honestly, I was shocked in the best possible way! I'm not a big fan of Asuka's undefeated streak, I personally find it slightly dull and I think that it hinders booking. It was great to see them hug after the match too. Cena's sprint up the ramp after the match was hilarious!
6. United States Championship: Randy Orton VS Bobby Roode VS Jinder Mahal VS Rusev - Solid match. Disappointed that Bobby Roode made a regular entrance, I expected a unique WrestleMania entrance for Roode. I also really hoped Roode would win the title back, so that was a disappointment that he did not. However, the match was solid enough that I didn't mind Jinder winning. At least they're presumably going to actually build Jinder up now, rather than catapulting him back to the main event.
7. Mixed Tag Team Match: Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey VS Triple H & Stephanie McMahon - This match was absolutely incredible! I would definitely call it match of the night, which is so surprising. I don't think anyone expected it to be anywhere near as great as it turned out to be. I love how they drew out Rousey getting tagged in. Brilliant psychology. Even given how weakly Rousey delivered a good amount of her moves, she still made an impressive debut. Can't wait to see where she goes next.
8. SmackDown Tag Team Championships - The Usos VS The New Day VS Bludgeon Brothers - Solid match. Surprised at how quickly it was over, but served the Bludgeon Brothers very well, and I'm a fan of them. At least the Usos have now had a match on the main card of WrestleMania.
9. The Undertaker VS John Cena - I quite enjoyed this little match, despite how much I didn't care for the idea beforehand. At least they made it a quick little back and forth match rather than a long drawn out match.
10. Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon VS Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn - Good match. It was wonderful to see the pop for Daniel Bryan. He showed that he is still amazing, and I love how they structured the match. Just like the Mixed Tag match, brilliant psychology again. I expect we'll see Zayn and Owens back on RAW now.
11. RAW Women's Championship: Alexa Bliss VS Nia Jax - I'll proudly say it: this was my personal highlight of the night. Going into this match, I desperately wanted both Nia to finally become champion, and for Bliss' reign to finally come to an end. Over the past year I've become a big fan of Nia. She's a truly unique standout in the division, I've no problems with her in-ring work, and her recent face turn has made her character far more compelling than the supposedly dominant monster heel that constantly tapped out a year ago. And outside of the ring, Nia comes across as such a dedicated, genuine, kind-hearted person, making it very easy to connect with her character. So I've wanted Nia to become champion for a while now. And as for Alexa Bliss, I'm just so tired of her being constantly pushed for the past 18 months as the face of the women's division. Every single woman she's feuded with has come out looking like a joke. Don't get me wrong, I think Alexa Bliss is good, but the way they've handled all of her feuds as so one-sided, her 18 month long reign of dominance has been really tiresome. As for the match itself, there some really tense moments for me, where the constant eye raking looked as though Bliss might retain. When Nia finally got the pinfall, I felt pure elation. If anyone was to finally put Bliss' reign to an end, I'm so glad it was Nia. I hope now they cool off Alexa Bliss for a few months, like they did with Charlotte in 2017. And as for Nia, I hope they give her a lengthy, strong reign.
12. WWE Championship: AJ Styles VS Shinsuke Nakamura - Nakamura's entrance....holy crap! Both Charlotte's and Nakamura's are easily among the greatest WrestleMania entrances of all time! The match was solid, but relatively uneventful, and it really did not live up to the hype at all, and failed expectations. The ending Styles Clash was awesome though. However, Shinsuke's heel turn! When AJ began helping Shinsuke up, I just knew that any second Nakamura was going to attack AJ to turn heel. That was a brilliant heel turn, and it's really intriguing where Shinsuke goes next. The most important question is this: what happens to Nakamura's entrance?
13. RAW Tag Team Championships: The Bar VS Braun Strowman & Nicholas - Although I was disappointed that Braun hadn't recruited a surprise returning superstar, it was pretty funny to see Strowman wandering through the crowd, looking for a partner. When I saw No Way Jose, I assumed Braun would pick him. Although yeah, this match did make a mockery of the tag team division, it was nonetheless entertaining, and it's nice that they made a kid the star of the match.
14. Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar VS Roman Reigns - This was disastrous. There really is no other way to put it. Without a doubt, the worst WrestleMania main event of all time. This was such an abomination, it gives Brock Lesnar VS Goldberg at WrestleMania 20 competition for worst WrestleMania match. I don't think it is at all coincidence that Lesnar was involved in two of the worst WrestleMania matches of all time. I can only assume that perhaps Lesnar was unwilling to cooperate with Reigns, and so they set out to put on the worst performance possible. That's the only way to explain what happened here. Kicking out of SIX F5s is on a whole other level beyond ludicrous. Lesnar absolutely murdering Reigns with his elbow was disgusting, barbaric, and an utter disgrace. There is simply no reason to deliberately subject another wrestler to such severe blood loss. 18 months or so after doing it to Randy Orton, he does it to Roman Reigns. If Lesnar wants to do crap like that, he should bugger off back to UFC. I don't believe there is any place for it in modern WWE. Beyond that, I thought that we'd finally be rid of Brock Lesnar as Universal Champion. It's always been a complete and utter joke that a part-timer held the World title ransom for so long. If you have a World title, the champion should show up every week, defend at every PPV, etc. Reigns was a good candidate to take the title off of Lesnar. Yet now, Lesnar's reign continues. That is a complete and utter joke. At this point, I just want Lesnar to go away.

Can I get an Amen

Totally agree. I also like the use of jobbers and squash matches in NXT because it puts over the main stars and makes them both look strong for PPVs which I find much better than awful 50/50 booking and main stars jobbing on weekly TV that seems to happen on Raw & SD.

Was absolutely stunned when I be saw this morning that Roman lost. I'm happy by it, but I truly don't understand it. Vince has spent the last three years building up to Roman finally going over Brock. Why, after all the wasted time and stubbornness with shoving Roman Reigns down his audience's throats, would he finally back off? In no way do I believe anything is going to change with Roman, because Vince has teased everyone a million times already and it has always still wound up leading to Roman Reigns being the focal point of the show. It's just baffling. The only thing I could possibly think of is Vince did this strictly because it had been a forgone conclusion that Roman was going to win, so he didn't want to give the audience/dirt sheets the satisfaction of being proven that they were right all along. He did the same thing with Jericho winning the US Title last year. I still think this ends with Roman beating Brock. It just seems inevitable; mainly because Vince has sacrificed every other credible threat at the expense of Roman and Brock looking as strong as possible over the past year. Vince has been so stubborn this entire time that I just won't believe he's changing the course unless it actually happens. God, could you imagine if all of this just leads to the same main event again next year?
