He was before my time so I was never a huge fan of his but there's no denying his impact on the business. May he rest in peace.

I'm ashamed to say that I've been a wrestling fan for 14 years yet never watched one of his matches. I'm going to watch some now. RIP to another wrestling legend.

I honestly thought he was sticking around long enough to see Vince die first.
But seriously, he was way before my time, but my grandfather used to tell me how great he was. I even bought his figure out of respect to them both. Such a shame, but my god, what a life he lived.

Bruno was way before my time as well, but you can't deny what he's done for the business.
His matches were basic enough back then, and yet fans ate that stuff up!
On a side note, Bruno Mars was actually named after Bruno Sammartino.

Bruno is in my wrestling Mt Rushmore. I was fortunate enough to be in attendance when he was inducted into the hall of fame in 2013 and I met him later that year. Bruno was in excellent shape for someone his age so this came rather out of nowhere. He was always a class act. Such sad news! Someone once called him the Pope of wrestling. I agree.
RIP Bruno Sammartino

That really surprised me when I saw it on twitter. He was still in great shape for being in his 80s.
Rest In Peace Bruno.

RIP Bruno! I’m happy WWE was able to make things right before his time was up.

Before my time obviously, but being from the Pittsburgh area I am very familiar with his history. His childhood and journey to USA is incredible, and what he was able to transform himself into is and was fascinating and spectacular.
I have actually met him a few times and is one of the nicest people of fame that I have ever talked to and for that, I will always be a fan. Damn shame that he passed, he has stayed in incredible shape his whole life.
R.I.P Bruno.

Wow. I didn’t think he would pass anytime soon considering how healthy he looked over the past several years. Very instrumental to WWWF in the 60’s and 70’s and truly carried the company.
RIP

Wow, this is surprising. And man it seems like there are a lot of passings in different areas in such a short time. I think he's before the time for most if not all of us here, but most of us realize the impact that he had on the business. It really is good, that he was able to mend the fences with WWE, and be recognized by the company, he helped play a role in making. Plus, it has allowed newer fans that may have never knew who he was, to learn about him, and realize he was one of the big building blocks for early WWE. And it just goes to show you, you never really know, when someone is going to go. Yeah, he was 82, but he didn't look like someone you'd expect to pass away at this time.

Definition of a Legend. He's in a class of his own. RIP Bruno Absolutely. I remember being very very young and my Grandfather would sit me on his lap (he was an Italian immigrant) and was just in awe, about this Italian strongman.
