Is there any rumours of what the series 8 line-up will look like? I'm a big hasbro fan and I'm slightly worried that there's been nothing mentioned. We've known about some series months in advance
Thanks

There are a handful of Retro figures semi-confirmed that haven’t been slotted into a series yet: • Zack Ryder • Big Cass (likely done) • Enzo (likely done) • Kalisto • Orton • Rock 2 • Cena 2 • Undertaker 2
High profile CURRENT guys that haven’t been mentioned for a Retro yet include: • The Miz • Samoa Joe • Bobby Roode • Rusev • Dolph
Unless we get surprised with a few legends or holy grails from the last Hasbro line, I’d say Series 8 is some combo of the figures above.

Is Enzo and Cass likely to be done now they've both left?
Is there no older wrestlers in the mention? I'd love to see more from Powers of Pain era

Is the body style still the same or did they create a new one?

So, I know Series 7 is supposed to have Sheamus, HBK, Angle and Orton...but whatever came about the Cena #2, Rock #2, and even the Undertaker grey gloves? Were those ideas axed? Just curious, because grey Undies even appeared in the Series 4-6 pictures last fall/winter. Inquiring minds need to know! The repaints for Cena, Taker & Rock were cancelled. Given they're top talent, there's a chance they could pop up again down the road. That was the most recent update regarding those three names. Kalisto and Orton are probably in the same boat. Any others from the past are unlikely to ever see the light of day. Since Sheamus is going to be made, I have to believe Cesaro will be up for consideration. The Usos, too.

I’m sure we will see all of series 7 and hopefully a few reveals at SDCC, where it all began 2 years ago.

I'm hoping we see a Ringside exclusive or two. It wouldn't surprise me if that's how they release Diesel and of course they can charge a premium for it.

Good call on the Hardys and Cesaro. Could see them fitting into this line. With heads of main line figures easily fitting on the retros, it will be interesting to see what crossovers take place in the upcoming series.

I wish they'd do some female talent. You know they would be lazy and only make 1 mold for all of them so how hard or expensive can it be?

If this is all that keeps coming out of the Retro line, it sucks for us older collectors. But hey at least for our kids that collect, it's almost like we get to relive it through them, and hopefully they get enjoyment out of the line, as we did for hasbros.
Mattel just hook ringside up with a few exclusives PLEASE. Diesel, Jeff Jarret, Mabel. Just a few, with packaging closer to the originals just for the hell of it. I'll pay 20$ to $30 each for a few Exclusive Retro of that Era.

Totally a guess honestly. 100% could be wrong. I wouldn’t have a problem with a Ryder, Roode, Joe and Dolph series. I’d love more legends but if a greater percentage of current guys gives the line a better chance to stay alive I can get behind that.

This is the solution honestly. Keep the main retail line current guys. Give collectors an avenue to get their hands on some of the more rare, “holy grails”. I’d easily pay $20 for any of those figures you would mention. If Ringside came out with a Honky / Valentine retro style 2 pack I’d be embarrassed to admit what I would pay. Same goes with a yellow version of the ring. Or a cage.
With this line, Mattel needs to realize they’re touching a segment of collectors in their late 30’s and early 40’s that grew up with this line. Not to mention, just based on age demographics, probably have a little more disposable income than their more kids friendly lines.
On top of that, Mattel needs to look at this as a "gateway" line. Prior to Retros releasing, I had purchased ZERO Mattel WWE figures. Z-E-R-O. Now, on top of the Retros, I've purchased maybe 50 Elites in the last 2 years. Releasing a figure like Diesel will bring back a TON of collectors that have never been exposed to any of the main lines. I'd argue that if a retro Diesel was available, 10%-20% would be "first figure" purchases from returning 90's collectors.

I'd be fine with them doing 6 figures per wave to mirror the last few series that Hasbro did (series 6, 7, 8, and 9 all released six figures per wave). They should do what they did in the first wave of the Mattel retro's, 4 current guys 2 legends, that way kids will buy enough of the current guys to keep this line going and collectors can still get the guys they want. Also, get rid of the app thing and put the figure price back down to $9.99 (or lower) - I can see a parent passing on these if the price is higher or equal to basics, but I think they would have no problems picking these up for their kids if they were cheaper.

My fear with Ringside doing exclusives of this line is entirely selfish as being based in the UK I would have to deal with high postage charges and the pathetically small customs threshold into the country which means that getting hold of any US-only figures is very expensive. But since Mattel seem to be doing their best to make life difficult for UK customers anyway (see Reigns and Owens, and more recently with series 4 and 5) then I guess extra expense and frustration is inevitable when collecting these regardless.
Ultimately the important thing is that these figures exist at all, even if they are exclusives that will cost us here a lot more than our US cousins, so I say yes, bring on Ringside Exclusives.
