Just give the man what he wants. He's a money maker and wants to stay. Don't let a major asset go to the competitor.

My gut says he stays with the company but you never know. Bryan is a mega star in this company whether they believe it or not.
And after last nights PPV, I somehow see a start of an almost repeat of the YES Movement happening. Bryan, teaming with Kane, in a stupid feud wth the Bludgeon Brothers getting the best reactions of just about every match on the card.

I thought Kane and Bryan would win because the show was in Pittsburgh where Connor the Crusher was from. I thought as a tribute to Connor, his favorite wrestler Daniel Bryan would win a title in Pittsburgh. Maybe him losing could be a sign of not signing a new contract?

Bryan isn't going anywhere. I think Vince will give him what he wants, there is one thing Vince isn't a dummy when it comes to a money maker. Why in the would they clear him this year.

I hope he leaves for wrestling’s sake. Having him tear it up part-time around the indies and a stop in roh/njpw would be the shot in the arm the business needs
And not to mention his name could give new japan a boost in their westward expansion

Bryan isn't going anywhere, he has the contract with E! for Total Divas/Bellas and there is no way Vince would be comfortable allowing a Non WWE Wrestler to be featured on either show, and E! probably won't do Total Divas and Total Bellas without both of the Bella's on the shows. If Bryan wants to only work the odd Houseshow and TV/PPV's then Vince will eventually cave and give him what he wants. Daniel Bryan is a top merchandise seller in the company as well, and I can't see Vinnie Mac giving up on that money very easily as right now there isn't anyone close to filling that void.

Every time I watch NJPW the talent spends half the time dumping each other of their necks. It looks brutal. That's the last thing I want to see for Bryan.

I think he’s someone who genuinely would benefit from a Jericho-esque schedule and freedom. Freedom to be with family, venture into other promotions/opportunities and keep coming back to WWE to tip parts of the year into hype mode. It’s clear to see that WWE hasn’t changed their view on him and where his place is. He’s the underdog main eventer who will have to scratch and claw to be on top and it’s a good role to have but only when your hovering in the main programs, otherwise I imagine it to be rather dull, not going into top gear in performance level due to being in programs that don’t really need it. Just what we need. Another part timer who gets the big main card spots and matches. This is why WWE is a mess right now, IMO. Part of the reason (other than clueless booking).

What's the point of continuing to bump this? He's already re-signed for a multiple year deal with WWE, he's not going anywhere unless he chooses to retire again.

He's not going anywhere. He just put in an order for some new gear and said he had to be specific colors because "Thats all WWE will let him wear"
You dont spend money on company specific attire if you're leaving in a couple months.

I do remember hearing late last year that he gave them until WrestleMania to clear him or he would leave, I wonder if they got word of that and then decided to clear him so he wouldn’t leave.
I’m still convinced he’s staying, but saying that, I feel his return isn’t what we expected because WWE may be hesitant to make any long term plans with him.

I share the same sentiment with both of your points. Bryan was cleared to return to a WWE ring because they realize he could be a huge draw for another company. Yet they don't trust him enough to give him a top-level push because of his history with ending up on the shelf due to injuries.

Uh he's worn the same colors since 2004 barring one feud with Homicide, the all wwe will let me wear line is hilarious. There's also the amount of dates he works so he's not wearing the same gear every night until 9/1 when his deal expires.
