Lmao ...but I don’t know if those are real guys or not I’ve never heard of them lol. I became a wrestling fan in 1985 You’ve really never heard of them? That seems like a really long time to be a wrestling fan without ever hearing those names. Not that I know anything about them other than they’re names, but I’ve heard them plenty of times over the years. Only a wrestling fan from 1985-2000. Stubborn I know, but the only guy pre-1985 that I really appreciate despite not having seen him is superstar Billy Graham.

Valentine however is a top figure want of mine.

Val Venis isn't an "irrelevant schmuck"-he was in WWE for 10 years (no easy feat), won multiple titles, and was a big name during the Attitude Era, the most successful era in company history.

We won't give up until they give in and finally release a damn figure of one of the greatest old school wrestlers that ever graced the squared circle. If we can get niche junk like Tugboat, Shark, Ringmaster, Red Rooster and Akeem then there is no reason why they cannot make a figure of a former IC & Tag champ from the greatest era of wrestling. FWIW, Greg Valentine should have been part of the legends line IMO, I would have made a figure of him instead of Akeem which to me was a waste of a spot.

I am going to keep saying it because it needs to be repeated. Why in the world did the red rooster terry taylor get a figure made ?? Terry Taylor might have had a good descent career before wwe, but he only lasted there for 3 years in total and with an absolutely awful gimmick. From 1988–1990, and then again 1992–1993. He did nothing much of importance in his entire run in wwe. Greg Valentine on the other hand: "In the course of his career, which has spanned over four decades, Valentine has held more than 40 championships." In the wwe he won the intercontinental, tag team titles, had several wrestlemania matches, and in the 2004 hall of fame class. So yes he deserves and should have a mattel elite figure made of him.

I would buy a Valentine and I would buy a Venis, but if I had to choose only one to be made my pick would be an easy one...it would be Valentine without question.

Same reason that Akeem, Ringmaster, Tugboat and Alundra Blayze got made- these are all crappy WWE created gimmicks that take precedence over gimmicks from other promotions (i.e. Stunning Steve Austin from WCW) or gimmicks where the wrestler owns the rights (i.e. One Man Gang). Also, Bill seems to love these so-called 'wrestle crap' gimmicks and is putting them ahead of more deserving figures like those of former champions- Greg Valentine, Bob Backlund and Billy Graham. All of those IMO should have been made before any of these wrestle crap figures were made and ALL 3 guys are on good terms and have been signed to a legends deal (or performers deal for Backlund) at one point in time.

Of course we would request someone else after valentine is made , not like were still going to request valentine AFTER hes made

Because any solid collecting/action figure line needs VARIETY. That's the biggest problem for Mattel at the moment and something I/we hope can be rectified a bit next week at SDCC. There needs to be enough shared wealth so that current collectors are happy, people who want to dig a little deeper with current NXT/women's figures/etc., and old-school collectors (like a lot of us) are happy.
I think Mattel has dropped the ball in this area in recent years and it's time to step back up. Current collectors SHOULD get NXT favorites and Peyton Royce, Velveteen Dream, Sanity, etc., etc. Flashback collectors SHOULD get weird gimmick characters like the Red Rooster, Repo Man, Giant Gonzalez along with classic stars like Greg Valentine, Don Muraco and Sensational Sherri. There SHOULD be enough to make all of us happy. It shouldn't be that difficult. We just need more fresh and different characters instead of repaints over and over and over again.

When those guys were announced for the WWE Hall of Fame Legacy Wing, some members here asked for and wanted their figures to be made. It would have to be a friggin history museum gift shop exclusive if Mattel decides to make their figures for whatever reason.

I think it would be cool to say "Hey this is a figure of the first ever recognized world champion"...but I also realize that it would be terrible terrible terrible decision for retail.
