How much better would Hasbro be over Mattel, just curious as I am not familiar with the figures they produce?! Also, how do you know that Mattel is the problem, I think WWE is as much of a problem here as Mattel is. WWE has final say over who gets made and who doesn't and final say on attire choices. Several years back, Bill mentioned that when Mattel first started making figures, WWE would not let them make figures with different facial expressions- that is why some of the early legends (L3 Warrior) have serious facial expressions. The few I bought on eBay where the deadpool ones that I did not want to wait or the baf pieces.
Perfect example I wanted to wait for the sabretooth figure to buy in store. Sure enough a week or later found at target.
Same deal for the bishop figure, wanted it but not as bad as wolverine, punisher, etc. A week or two later found it at walmart.
So whatever hasbro is doing is working cause I can find them in stores. It is the exact opposite for the wwe mattel line. They are both 6 inch figure lines.
I mean look at that deadpool figure that came out a few years ago with an extra head and 10 accessories for $20 ? Then compare it to mattel ? It's not even close, then and even now. That may be an isolated case but it shows what hasbro can do. Bring them on, I am begging you WWE.
I used to collect Masters of the Universe. It was my bread and butter -- but Mattel drove me away after they started charging too much and their product turned into something I didn't care for.
Many, many years ago was the failure of their "200X" MotU line. It had to be the most mismanaged toyline ever. They never seem to be able to execute plans all the way through. They just f it up.
