When is the Ultimate attire based from? Don’t recall ever seeing the skulls running up & down his legs before, but I started watching in 1995

When is the Ultimate attire based from? Don’t recall ever seeing the skulls running up & down his legs before, but I started watching in 1995 I believe they said it was based on his KOTR 94 attire. He also wore similar attire at Summer Slam 1994 and on Raw in 1994 vs. 123 Kid.

I loved the idea of the removable arms with jacket sleeves for this figure but never realized how exposed the underarms are. The DM Bret is still one of my top 10 Mattel figures. It’s the first one I bought and the one that got me into collecting Mattel. Fantastic figure.

DM, easily. Better hair, better fitting glasses, better looking articulation (mainly the torso). And I much prefer the soft-goods jacket to the hard plastic/armpit-less UE jacket.

Speaking of DM Bret... Is anyone looking to trade or sell him? I'd love to chat.

I love the DM. If it weren’t for the terrible hair strands it would honestly be a 10/10. Mattel has nailed Bret’s likeness, but for whatever reason they’ve failed with Bret’s hair. I’m also wishing we’d get a wcw version with the round glasses.

The DM has the better looking attire, but the UE looks like it is the better figure.

The DM is one of, if not my favorite Mattel figures. I'll get the Ultimate when I find it in stores.

I prefer the Ultimate. The big gaps on the side of the jacket are a concern, though.

If you are looking at the side by side pics the ultimate blows the DM away visually...aside from the jacket under arm holes.
I don’t have either in hand to judge the glasses fit etc.
